LA - Kevin Smith Release Party at New Westwood Secret Stash

If you're in LA you'll want to check out the Kevin Smith signing at his new Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash Store in Westwood:

1045 Westwood Blvd

Tuesday Sept 7 5-10pm

Any idea of what kind of stuff the store is going to be selling? Is it a Kevin Smith only store or do they have other things?

(this is the first I've heard of it)

Edit: It looks to be a comic book type store with a bunch of KS stuff if it is like the one in NY (and on the web).

sweet! I will be there.

Stupid question, since I've never been to a signing:
Do you buy the DVD's there, or do you bring DVD's you've already purchased? (I'm assuming the whole reason is to get you to buy the DVD's at that store, so show up empty handed?)

Thanks!

Usually they will want you to buy the DVD there.

But, depending on who's doing it, you can also bring any other items to get signed along with the featured DVD. Other times they may limit how many items can get signed just to make sure everyone gets their DVD signed.

The other one is in Red Bank, NJ actually. And the physical store has a lot more (new comics every week) then the online site.

You don't have to buy anything at the signing. Bring whatever. Bring Kevin Smith fifty million things to sig - he'll sign fifty million things for you.

Anyone one know how popular it's gonna be? I'm assuming it'll be a really large gathering.

That would be a correct assumption. Smith will be on KROQ's morning show on tuesday promoting the dvd and I'm sure plugging the event. That should gain a pretty decent crowd of those who may not be in the know.

So expect a crowd.

In your estimation, how early should I plan on getting there?

If you want Kevin to sign anything, you WILL need to purchase either Jersey Girl or ClerksX in the store. He also said bring anything else you want signed but to get anything signed expect to spend some $.

12pm? And he's gonna be there at 5pm? Damn, as much as I'd love to meet him and get his autograph, I'm not that dedicated of a fan.

Well if there is a sort of orginzation it could work out that folks switch out turns waiting.

I'm sure you could show up around 2-3 and still get an autograph.

I'd like to buy the autographed Clerks X from the ViewAskew website. Does ayone had an idea as to where the sig. would be? On the front? Silver or White pen? Basically has anyone here bought a Kevin Smith auto DVD from the website, and could share their review of the product, shipment, packing? Buying it signed from The Stash cost almost double compared to unsigned at B&M, so I need some incentive to pull the trigger.
Thanks!
