I am currently working on covers for a so called "Bruckheimer Collection" containing most of the blockbusters produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. This is what it's supposed to look like when done (pretty much):

And until now 9 covers are done:

Hey mate ...

I know you will probably ignore this request, but here goes anyway. Did you ever finish those Bruckheimer covers? And if yes, where can I get the rest of them.

In advance I'll say thank you and great job on those covers.

Sorry, I haven't been in this forum for a while, and my home internet-access isn't working right now.

I haven't finished the collection yet... in fact I haven't done any new covers for the collection, since my life got really busy in the last months (new job, moving to a new city, my first own apartment, stuff like that).

So I took a break from the collection, since these covers take really long to finish. When more covers are done, I'll post them here, don't worry.

Oh, and JasonF is right, it's "Dangerous Minds" between "Coyote Ugly" and "Crimson Tide".

Great work. Would love to see them altered for Region 1 - also, the missing titles you mentioned.

Good luck

You know what i realized? you always hear people saying Bruckheimer movies suck but if you look at the collection pretty much every movie is quite fun and entertaining.

so now what versions are these? criterion for armageddon, rock...?

They are all for the European RC2 releases (the European ones are identical for most of the films, though the newer ones are mainly designed for the German releases, being kept in English to match the earlier ones).

These covers are a heck of a lot of work, so don't expect any other versions of them being released. Just use them for the artworks sake (and don't mind, if the audio-specs and bonus features don't fit your version).

I have all R1 discs, and I use em anyway. They look too nice to pass up.

great stuff! very impressive. i really like the worn style on some of the text and such. got any easy way for doing that? i always wanted to be able to do it, but i never got it to look right and truly worn, like on yours.

oh, and great little touch with the hidden numbers on the front of the National Treasure cover.

Unfortunately there's no easy way of doing the worn style (known to me) except for using some "grundge"-brushes on all the elements.

And regarding th numbers on the NT-cover, I thought they were a "must-have" on this one.

yeah, i figured.. i've looked for good brushes online, but i haven't really found any i liked. did you make your own grunge brushes? any chance you'd like to share some of them (or all, hehe)?

by the way, for the credits block, did you use a regular font and squeezed it together, or do you have one that is that skinny? i can never find a truly good font for that.. i wonder what the one the studios use themselves is called..

anyway, keep up the good work!

I've used the brushes found HERE (http://veredgf.fredfarm.com/vbrush/main.html), especially the ones called "Bad Photocopy", "Dirty Album", "Scratches" and some others.

Regarding the credits font, I think I've used some regular Fonts (Arial, Futura) and squeezed them. Though you can find a "real" font for it on the German DVD-cover site CrazyCovers (http://www.crazycovers.net). You have to register (of course for free) to get access to the download sections. Check it out, there are a lot of english covers as well, and some more of my covers. Under the category "Cover Hilfe" (which means "Cover Help") there's a link on the left named "Movie & Cover Fonts", including the original font for most credit blocks.

It's fun creating them, and after a lot of work being put into them, why not use them? ;)
