Eagles playing it safe - not playing Brian Westbrook tonight. I have to figure out where he belongs on the fantasy RB rankings list.

Near the top of that 2nd tier, with Thomas Jones and Chris Brown.
Does anyone know how bad Nate Wayne was hurt tonight?

I don't think Thomas Jones is at the top of the 2nd tier. Is he even going to start? Anthony Thomas is the starter right? Maybe I missed something.

A Train is riding the bench, FYI. Jones(all 10 of them in the NFL RBs) are worth a roster spot.

Man - you must use large tiers. I use a narrow tier system of ranking players.

Yes, it is a bigass tier. Maybe the third tier then, with the first ending at Fred Taylor and the 2nd at Travis Henry. But I've got a bigger dropoff from Henry to Westbrook then from Taylor to Rudi, so it's easier to draw the line on my spreadsheet there. 12 team league I think Westbrook is an early 3rd rounder.

This is my first chance getting to see the Bears tonight since I was on vacation for the first 2 games.
Thomas Jones looked impressive as did the o-line. The defense looked good, except for McQuarters, eventhough no Urlacher and Wale won't play until next week.
Grossman looked like crap though and the WR's were less then impressive. If Bobby Wade is the other starting WR bad things will happen this season.

I just saw the highlight of the Packers preseason game and Ahman Green substaining a bruised knee. Don't know how severe his injury is.

Glad to know there's another Bears fan in this Forum.
I drafted Jones on my fantasy football team and have high expectations from him because of the system that Lovie Smith and Shea have installed.
However, I'm not too high on our QB and WR situation but our defense is looking pretty good.
BTW, in order to follow the Bears here in Canada, I purchased the NFL Sunday Ticket Package for this season.

The Skins sure looked shitty last night. Thank goodness Samuels' injury was only a sprain. Brunell in all likelihood wrapped up the starting job by default last night.

After watching their first two preseason games, I became hesitant in drafting any Redskins players. It may come back to bite me in the ass later on but so far the offense is underperforming.

Friday afternoon the team did practice outdoors, but did so in shells and shorts. Saturday Parcells plans to practice in pads again to get ready for their nationally-televised Monday Night Football game against the Titans. Sunday will be the normal walk-through the day before a game.
Please don't kill Romo
Despite the media's tendency to jump on backup quarterback Tony Romo, it seems Parcells always sticks up for him. Parcells realizes Romo is inexperienced and that his preseason so far has been a bit of a seesaw.
However, on Friday Parcells spoke candidly of his mixed feelings about the developing quarterback.
"This Romo kid - I'd like to kill him. I really would," Parcells said. "But really I like him. I like him because he's spunky, he's smart, he's charismatic. He's got a lot of these things that I like. But he'll just do some things that drive me nuts. It's simple. And unless I can break him of that habit, he's not gonna be successful . . . (Romo's) got a little impulse he's got to fight . . . He's fighting a little demon he's got. He really is. I mean that."
Parcells went on to say that he's far from throwing the towel in on Romo, and he just might get it in time. Drew Henson played most of the second half last week against Oakland after starter Vinny Testaverde. After the game in Houston, Parcells said he only wanted to play two quarterbacks in the remaining preseason games - splitting time between Testeverde and one potential backup. If he stays true to that plan, Romo should play the second half against Tennessee. According to Parcells, however, the second-half QB for Monday is not yet decided.
up yours parcell but thanks for keeping him ;)

The Giants have named Warner as the starting QB for the season opener.
How long he'll last, nobody knows.

The Jets really put that one to bed this weekend. Eli just isn't ready and every single defense would have picked him apart after the Jets showed his weakness.

During the game they pretty much said it wasn't serious. They just held him out the rest of the game.

Looks like the Chiefs lost Marc Boerichter (WR) for the season on saturday with a knee injury. With him out, Kinneson fresh off an injury, and Morton still out, KC is hurting baddly for recivers. Right now Dante Hall is the Chief's #1 reciver.

They are saying that the Chiefs may be interested now on Keenan McCardell because of their injury situation.
Also Mike Anderson injury on Saturday may be more serious than originally thought.

That's good news for fantasy owners. Takes one RB out of the murkiness that it is the Denver running attack.
How did McGahee look this weekend? What's the latest on that situation. I'm trying to rank RBs now.

I think McGahee had about 55 yards rushing. Travis Henry is still going to be the starter when he comes back. But who knows after that.

I wouldn't worry about that. I think the success of the receivers is a product of 3 things more than the talents of the individual receivers: 1) the system, 2) the OL/running game, and 3) Trent Green - probably the most underrated fantasy QB.

I couldn't agree more...Green is still going to get his numbers and the Cheifs will still be one of the higher scoring teams in the NFL.
