Ok. This is an great mini series I was happy that they relased on dvd. My problem with Warner Bros. is that they give us the crappy cheap snapper cases. They don't bother revising the cover, or making a new dvd cover to it. On the cover it has the cover to the VHS just widened. It is infront of a video on the cover, when it is dvd format! Come on Warner Bros. Are you really that cheap that you couldn't even photo shop a dvd in back of Pennywise! The dvd has one special feature that I really enjoyed. The commentary by Tim Reid, Tommy Lee Wallace, Richard Thomas, Dennis Christopher, and the Late John Ritter. I was really hoping they could have put all of the lucky seven on the commentary including Harry Anderson, but it was fun to see their opinons on the characters and the film. Warner rips us off agin when they can't even put the 2 parts on 2 seperate discs. You have to flip it over! So if you wreck one side of your dvd you can't watch the whole mini series. The film is almost nothing like the book. Mainly because you cannot get away with all of that was in the book on regular television, maybe when the remake comes out they can make it slightly closer to the book. Richie needs to be a coke addict, Henry Bowers who is a biggot really enjoyed in the book when a boy was masturbating him and he threatened to kill the boy who did it if he told. In the mini series I really loved Seth Green as Richie as a child. Richard Thomas and John Ritter played their roles in excellence. Tim Reid and the others had just great acting through out the whole movie. And 1 person you can never forget is Tim Curry as Pennywise the Clown.
He gives a scary preformance as him. In my opinon he was born for it. Even though the only special feature on the disc is the commenatary, It's still just excellent and fun to listen to.
