Not sure if this was already posted but I was looking around upcominghorromovies.com and came across this movie Day of the Dead:Contagium. According to the director this is not a sequel, or a prequel (though it works like one) but rather an homage to Romero and his Dead trilogy learn more about the movie here

It's a low budget flick that trades on the Dead trilogy by using Day of the Dead in the title. Anyone seeing it thinking it's going to be like the Romero films will be sadly disappointed.

It looks like a bad student film.

Cool. Looks like it's going to be like a Romero film. I'll be there with high expectations!

I read the interviews, and they don't seem to have any official ties with Romero (duh!) (Romero is busy getting his own films green lit) - what, so he won't notice this one?

What's to stop me making something like

Jurassic Park: DINO COPS

It says they're both working on "Creepshow" next - is this another rip off, or an official third sequel? Hmmmm

Jeez...Sounds like these people are such un-original film makers that they're actually making sequels to films without having the legal right to do it. How exactly are they going to get away with this? Are they only going after movies that George Romero has been involved with? Sure seems like it.

Romero is too buisy on Land of the Dead. Rumor is that Dennis Hopper may be in the film.

Oh hell, I'll still buy the cheap homage.
