80's song ID!!

Hey all,

was listening to the 80's station on windows media player and i've heard a song a couple of times that I really like. It's sung by a male (or group of males) and it's completely in French. It's a dance song. Very 80's. Pop/electronic-ish.

Any ideas?

Could the artist be Plastic Bertrand?

Their best known song in the US is from the late 70s though.

I think it was called Ca Plane Pour Moi.

That was the first tune that came to mind when I saw the description.
It's actually a Damned cover (Jet Boy Jet Girl)

Actually The Damned covered Ca Plane Pour Moi with English lyrics.

I stand corrected. My bad.

But hey, let's not forget the Elton Motello cover...

Nope...it doesn't sound like ANY of these.

This song is REALLY pop-ish. Think "this time I know it's for real" by donna summer but with guys. And all in french.

Could it be "Der Kommisar" by Falco - it's in German and not French but I thought I'd throw it up as a possibility.

I don't remember the name of the band, but there was a song from the eighties that was in French I used to like. It had a recurring part that was just "la, la, la - la, la, la - la, la, la". It was something like "C'est Cum Sa". I know I'm not spelling that right. Could this be it?

JOEFROG!!! That's IT!!!

That's not the name of it tho. There were a lot of "la la la's" in it.

Any other information?

From what I remember of the video, it was a man and a woman singing the song. It was just them two dancing and singing throughout the video. I'm blanking out on the name of the group though.

U just have to go to windows media player and it's under "80's FM."

Again, I've been listening to it at work all week and I've heard it a couple of times.

That's a female singer though. This was a male. Or is Rita male?

That's the song I was talking about. Rita Mitsouko was just the name of the band I think. I don't think it was the acutal name of a person.

Nope...that's definitely not it. It's too "rock-ish." Not enough pop. It's very happy and shout-y.

I actually emailed the website but we'll see about an actual response.
