What does everyone else do?

Sell?
Keep?

Hi crow121,

I sell my unwanted DVDs on eBay. If they don't sell on eBay, I take them to a local DVD/CD/Music store and get a in-store credit towards merchandises. I get more for my DVDs if I take the in-store credit.

I first try the exchange forum. If it doesnt move there i go to ebay....then a desperate thread on the forum if i'm still stuck.

If it still doesn't move, i send it in to secondspin for a couple bucks of credit.

Or stick them into your microwave oven and turn the sucker on. You get more kick out of it :)

Just curious how much most of you tend to get per disc when you take them to local record stores. I've considered going this route to make some more shelf space and get rid of things I'll never watch again, but I don't think it'll be worth it if I'll only get like $3 per disc.

Usually, I just give them to friends/family.

Usually ebay, unless the market has totally died. Then I give them away.

eBay .... as soon as I see that an SE is coming, I unload the original release, especially for OOP titles that can still generate big prices before the general public catches on that they're being reissued.

I only have about a half a dozen DVDs that I regret buying - but nobody else really wants them either (zero bids on ebay even at under $5), so they just sit on the shelf.

I stick them in a box and put them in the garage. Thanks to my extremly poor memory, when I run across the box a couple years later, I'm like a kid in a candy store.

My local Blockbuster is now taking in previewed DVD's for store credit. I believe you get "At least $5 for a DVD," I'm sure they mean a movie dvd though. Well, I think I'll try that out. Anyone else trade in at BBV?

I just traded in at blockbuster today. They're not kidding about the "at least $5". I only got $5 per title, but that's how much I'd paid for them initially. So it was win win. Used the credit to sign up for their movie pass. Not a bad deal. First month for 3 out at a time is $20.
