Best & Cheapest Region Free Player?
I am tired of being poked fun of, laughed at, degraded, and humiliated just because I consider myself to be all techy and a movie buff, yet no region free!!! I know, I know, what's this kid's problem? No region free?!?! Amateur!!!
So with that aside, help?
Now, I know you can get a R1 player that you can unlock via remote or firmware hack or I can just get a region free player like those on HKFlix. Which is better? I would assume the ones that already come region free? I'm not that tech savvy yet when it comes to all these things. If knowing my other equipment is useful in determining what I should do, this is what I got... very simple:
TV: Sharp 36" boob tube (really nice picture actually, really)
Audio: Sony HT-in-a-box Dream System (Very, very decent)
I don't have any dvds yet that are anything besides R1s but I plan on starting to discover some foreign films, little by little. Eventually I'll get one of those nice $300-$600 players that do all those things that I have no idea what it means... converting PAL to NTSC and all that jazz. I get the jist of it but I'm still, well, an amateur
Thanks!
