Mortal Kombat DVDs Question

Can anyone confirm for me if the Mortal Kombat DVD's are in an anamorphic letterbox format or enhanced for widescreen?

Mortal Kombat is not enhanced unless they released it twice.

I just dropped it into the computer and it does not appear to be anamorphic.

thanks for the help, I think I will hold off on getting them. I hear talk of a Mortal Kombat 3 movie and they will probably release them again to promote that. Unless I can get them for $3 each like my friend did!

Yeah, Christopher Lambert is supposed to reprise his role as Raiden/Rayden.

You have to go multi-region to get an "enhanced" Mortal Kombat.

I'd gladly double dip the first one for 16x9 and DTS. I tried watching the second one on TBS one day during a double feature, and first of all, the massive changes in actors, esp watching back to back, was very distracting. Then when they got inside the huge balls, I realized the movie had just gotten the express elevator to hell.

I actually thought this movie rocked when I was a kid.

Watching it now, I think it sucks, but the guy who played Kano RULED the school.

He was awesome and I was ticked when he was killed. I was like...ummm no.

MK3 revealed

Here's the entire MK3 script! Hidden with spoiler tags, of course!

Spoiler:
Rayden: Down, Down, Back, Forward + Block

Shang Tsung: Back, Back, Forward, Forward + High Punch

Liu Kang: Down, Forward, Back, Back + High Kick

THE END

The first one is IMHO, the 2nd one I don't think you could pay me enough to rewatch that...

Its available in Spain anamorphic, but not the best picture still and the sounds 2.0 but still fine and you get part 2 on the same dvd. if thats a plus or a minus is up to you.

It has been a LONG time since I've seen either one, but I'm pretty sure I remember seeing the Alien, as in versus Predator, show up in the second one. Not alive, but embedded in the floor design of one of their combat arenas or similarly large dungeonesque rooms.

That was Trevor Goddard. He actually killed himself last year. Go figure.

I'd forgotten about that.

His acting in MK probably seemed campy to some, but to me he seemed to enjoy chewing the scenery in his scenes.
