U.S. Troops want their Mystery Science Theater 3000! (donations wanted)

MST3K FOR THE TROOPS
We've been asked to pass along the following message, and we're happy to do so. However, if you have any questions or comments, please send them directly to the folks at [email protected], not to us. Thanks.

Hey folks!

We're long-time Misties and a veteran-owned business, starting a fall care package drive for MST3K fans serving in the military.

What we've been doing for the last several months is bundling packages of our audio SF/fantasy CDs and used paperback books, and sending them to libraries and morale tents. We have discovered that there are a number of MST3K fans craving a fix over in Iraq, Afghanistan and in other overseas units.

If you have some legal copies of MST3K episodes - especially DVDs - which you can donate, we are bundling as many as we can in boxes, to ship and unit libraries where many people can enjoy them. They include two aircraft carriers, a resupply ship and a Coast Guard cutter in Persian Gulf waters, and several camps in Iraq and Afghanistan, like Anaconda, Ridgeway and Spearhead.

We will confirm each shipment as it goes out, letting you know where and to what unit your DVD(s) were sent to, via email.

Again, these episodes should be legal - either you taped them directly off the telly for personal use, and are giving them as you would give to a friend, or you bought them in the store. Please make sure to tape a notecard with your name and address (or email) to any donation you can send.

This is a good way to get rid of Manos, and the VHS tapes that we may have.

Hmmm, I might be sending a "Manos" their way once the two disc-er comes out.
