Good Old School Rap Tunes

What are some good old school rap songs.. I'm in the mood for some for some reason. Two I thought of are:

EPMD - You Gots To Chill
LL Cool J - Goin Back To Cali
Run DMC - Christmas in Hollis
Sir Mix Alot - Buttermilk Biscuits
Sir Mix Alot - Square Dance Rap

Anyone else think of any!?

Jam on It - Newcleus
Bust a Move - Young MC
You Talk Too Much - Run DMC
My Adidas - Run DMC
Human Beat Box - Fat Boys

and a little different but by some classic artists,

White Lines - Grandmaster Flash and Melle Mel

Finally I'd just like to add a big YAY! that there are others who love the early sir mix a lot stuff too. Still have my cassette from when we would listen to it cruising in my friends' vw wagons (three guys I knew in high school each had one, all of them orange and all of them with speakers filling the rear compartment ).

Don't listen much to the genre but I've always liked those two songs.

It's always fun to see lists like these, because of how "old school" seems to be a constantly-changing term. My senior year in college I was paired with a freshman roommate. I walk into our room and he says, "Dude, check out this old school track I just downloaded." He proceeds to play "Ain't Nuthin' But a G Thing." Never have I felt so old.

Anyway, some suggestions:

"Children's Story" - Slick Rick
"Freaks Come Out at Night" - Whodini
"Planet Rock" Afrika Bambaataa
"Paid in Full" - Eric B and Rakim
"The Bridge is Over" - Boogie Down Productions

Since it's been a long time, I don't even know if this is the name of the song (or if it's even fully a rap song for that matter!):

Egyptian Lover

Also love basically everything off of Run DMC's first 3 albums especially Hard Times & It's Like That (self-titled album), King of Rock & Roots Rap Reggae (off King of Rock) and at least half of Raising Hell went on to become quite popular in the day.

I also enjoyed both "Radio" and "Bigger & Deffer", LL Cool J's first two albums.

....and pretty much anything Beastie Boys have done...I like that they've been able to vary it up from time to time, and I love their last release (To The 5 Boroughs)...a definte nod to old school style.

In more recent times, I've liked pretty much everything by Eminem and REALLY like The Streets (Original Pirate Material)...still haven't listened to the new one really yet.

Everyone once in a while I like to revisit this little genre from my youth, back before rap became so "mean". Some favorites are...

My Melody - Eric B and Rakim
The D.O.C.'s first album
Doug E Fresh was always a favorite

Any Surf MC fans? anyone?

Anyone remember the commercial for the Converse Weapon shoe back in the early 80s? It had all these stars of the day: magic, larrry, bernard king etc. Starts with magic going, "the converse weapon, that's the shoe, let's magic do what he was born to do!"

This would qualify as classic old-skool rap in my opinion. Anyone remember the rest? I would kill to see that commercial again.

Hmmm, I would have thought that this would never be popular outside of the Seattle area. I mean the song is very seattle-centric. Would that bit about Dicks Drive-In actually carry any meaning to someone from, say - utah?
