What the hell? What's so awful about it? Looks like a good movie if you like Brooks. I'll go see it cuz I'm old now and crap like Terms of Endearment touch me in warm places that I didn't have before back when I was young and cool.

That actually looks like it could be pretty good. I mean, if you don't like that kind of warm character-based humor that James L. Brooks does, that's one thing. Just don't act like its Eight Crazy Nights or something.

Looks like it could be fairly decent to me.

It looks like it could be alright but the trailer sure did a crappy job at showing how good it could be. I still hate Sandler though, so I'll wait 'til the DVD comes out.

It won't be as good as Little Nicky.

Couldn't get the trailer to work. But I love Adam Sandler, I find his movies to be hilarious. Guess I'm in the minority though.

Actually, I would assume that the thread starter agrees with you, and this is why the trailer has been deemed "awful", because it's not your typical Adam Sandler movie. It's probably closer to a Punch Drunk Love style of movie (more serious/romantic comedy) than a Waterboy or Billy Madison.

I was thinking the same thing.

Just because its not a typical Adam Sandler movie isn't why I said it looks awful. Did you laugh at all during that trailer or at least smile at the cleverness of a line? I didn't. I'm kinda sick of the whole "family has troubles-must bring in outside person to live with them and teach them about themselves" warm family drama genre.

I'm not familiar with this genre. It is as popular as action/adventure or romantic comedy?

I was under the impression that it wasn't a comedy.

I really liked the trailer. I have always been a fan of Sandler, i'm glad to see him in another serious role. He's got a mini fro in the trailer.

The trailer didn't do anything for me. I'm not going to say it's awful, but I'm not interested.

Chick Flick with Sandler. mmmmm. Why do all comedians want to all of a sudden do a serious movie. It's always the downfall of their careers.

For me the trailer is good, but we´ll see the movie. Adam Sandler makes a completely different character, it´s not the same of his other movies like 50 FIRST DATES or THE WEDDING SINGER

The actresses Tea Leoni seems great, and Paz Vega, better than Penelope Cruz in my opinion, of course

This guy was a little under somewhat interesting on SNL and i don't understand how these studios must be having life support on him.

More like a dramedy. Doesn't look bad, I may see it.

Paz Vega is a definite plus.

Otherwise the movie just looks okay.
