Amazing(And Funny) Combo Video For All The Fighting Game Lovers Here

Shoryuken . com is temporarily hosting a video created by some of the USA's best players. It's a video paying homage to the evolution of the combo as we see it today.

With all the crazy multi hit combos you see in most fighting games today, this video pays it's respects to the most basic and fundamental element in fighting games....the 2 Hit Combo

Some are basic, some are funny and some are just downright weird

Enjoy the vid. It's a big file, but it's so worth it.

Ode To The 2-Hit Combo Video(323 Megs)

Thanks to Shoryuken . com for the video

That was a nicely put together movie, and was cool/funny....for the first 5 minutes, then it got boring really quick. Too long IMO, I fast forwarded through most of it, but still worth seeing if you're a fan of fighting games. Some of those were really creative.

Nice music selection too

Personally my favorite fighting game movie to come out recently was Daigo's incredibly kickass parry victory at Evo, now that was unbelievable.

It's a great way of checking out different editing techniques. But it's way too long. 21 minutes worth of 2 hit combos? Sometimes less is more. Even the credits took almost 5 minutes.

Nice work though, really creative, but just tooooo loooooong.

yeah, I should have mentioned that the movie itself is rather long. I just thought it'd be nice to share it here with other gamers...especially since so many different fighting games are featured in it. That and of course the music Back in the day we didn't have walkthroughs or combo videos to learn from....so it's nice to have something like this available to such a broad audience

Some of those 2 hit combos are just funny to watch...some I never knew even existed.

Oh and are you talking about the Street Fighter 3 Third Strike Ultimate Comeback by Daigo Umehara?? Yeah, I saw that video and I thought Justin Wong had him but wow.....talk about a great moment in fighting game tournament history!

Get the short video of the miracle HERE!

Thanks SRK. I'll be buying the DVD of the tournament as soon as it's released!

MPG or AVI. I can't recall. They are zipped so just extract them and they should play fine in either WMP or DiVX player.

Brevity, people, brevity!

I have yet to see a fan produced video (the SWG Ice Ice Baby, or Baby's got back) that didnt go on WAY too long. Dont drag the video out for the whole 5 minuets that the song runs. Make your point, deliver the punchline and get the hell out. Much longer than that and people start nodding off and tuning out.

This however, takes the cake. Half an hour? F' that! I didnt get past the first 2 min. Once I got the joke/gimmick, I was out of there.

Whatever. Worst video ever.

I didn't expect everyone to like the vid. I guess you have to be a fighting game junkie like me to like it for what it is. I thought it was entertaining for the most part. To each his/her own.

I watched the entire thing start to finish. I didn't recognize half of those games... I'm also not a Street Fighter series fan, so most of it was lost on me. It was kinda interesting for about 2 seconds, but unless you were a fighter fiend you won't find much reason to keep watching... no idea why I did.

For some reason, I watched the whole thing also. I'm intrigued by fighting games although I rarely have the patience to get any good at them at all. It was nice to see all the games various Street Fighter characters were in.

I agree that it was way too long. A 5 minute video would have accomplished the same thing. I'm sure the creators had a lot of fun making it though, and that's what matters.

I was planning on buying both ESPN and Madden, but ESPN is so good that I don't think Madden is worth a purchase. At $20 I'll never buy an EA Sports game again (except FIFA and Tiger) if the rest of their games are this high quality. I understand NH and NBA have been good for years, but never THIS good.

I'm not trolling, just surprised the line is this long for Madden. ESPN and Madden used to play different, but now they are almost identical.
