Are there any features from the first dvd that weren't carried over onto the "Limited Edition" dvd?

nobody will ever know because the limited edition is the most difficult stupid dvd to navigate through. I love the movie but the dvd pissess me off because I cant view anything. I know I'm dumb, I dont need a dvd to tell me.

There was a guide online somewhere that showed you how to navigate through the DVD menus. I printed a copy out for myself but can't find that original file anywhere.
It's easy to locate stuff with the guide in hand.

Yeah, I remember there was a short little featurette or something on the original DVD that's not on the LE. I can't remember what it is offhand, but it wasn't anything particularly exciting.

I believe the only thing that wasn't carried over from the bare-bones to the SE was the IFC interview with Christopher Nolan.

:hscratch: If it was bare bones, how would there be anything to carry over?

Compared to the SE, it was pretty bare-bones. Try not to be too literal, or I'll kill you. -wink-

There's a guide right here on DVD Talk:

I never saw the LE but I was told a novice DVD collector would fail to be able to see the film. Is that true?

When you first insert the first disc, you are--appropriately--confronted with a test of your memory. A series of words flashes by, and you are "required" to remember those words to navigate the main menu, which is a test of text retention. As music from the film plays, and as Leonard whispers "Where am I?", a five-column list of words appears. To get deeper into the menu and even to start the film, you must choose the words that did not appear in the opening stream. After you look over the list for a few minutes, the correct choices become clear. In fact, the incorrect words fade into the background at certain intervals.
It's more of a hassle than it's worth. I kept the single disc version for the sole purpose of watching the film without the bullshit.
I mean, it's not so hard to figure out, but wtf? I want to watch a movie, not play a video game.

The DVD Talk guide makes it easy. Besides, the transfer is MUCH MUCH better on the LE, so it's worth it.

I thought all you needed to do on the LE to actually get the movie started was hit "Enter" or "Play" a few times. You didn't really need to go through any puzzles just to watch the movie. The extras, on the other hand...
