Yeah, pretty entertaining so far. Just started watching the second episode a few minutes ago... Did that guy really complain that the Amish girls were leaving their underwear on the floor?

Best line so far....

non-amish: "Do you like Reggae?"

amish: " I have never heard of him, who is Ray Gay?"

The best line so far has to be last week when the militant vegan explained that cows are really from outer space.

She also thinks eggs are chicken abortions and milk is cow pus.

Great show. There was already a thread on this though. Someone there mentioned a documentary called Devil's Playground about Amish rumspringa. I rented it. It was very good. I noticed that Amish in the City's intro actually uses scenes from the documentary.

Interesting, I love the harmonica sounds when Ruth moves her hands to her mouth like she's providing the actual soundtrack to the opening credits.

Yes, Ariel is a complete flake, but she is the most physically attractive of all the cast members. I think Mose may have some feelings based on showing her how to get dressed in Amish clothes and her sitting on his lap after the Ray Gay concert.

I have to agree with her about the cow pus. That's true. But she is a complete wackjob. The cows from outer space was damn funny though.

I like the amish much better than the other group. Why do they all have to be pricks and so mean? I would like to see one of the amish beat the crap out of one of the other ones, just to keep em in line a bit.

Milk is a fluid secreted by the mammary glands of female mammals. In the case of cow's milk, its primary ingredient (after water, of course) is a protein called casein.

Pus, on the other hand, is a mixture of dead white blood cells and dead bacteria.

Now, if cows are not properly cared for, there may be some pus mixed in with the milk. That's certainly the argument a lot of vegan websites seem to be making. But that's entirely different from saying that milk is cow pus.

And calling eggs "chicken abortions" is the height of ignorance about the female reproductive system. Eggs are "chicken periods."

True dat. Unless you're talking about the filipino "delicacy" called balut which is truly a chicken abortion. Watching my cousin eat one of those made me almost

WTF, chicken periods? That's disgusting, you mean I've been having having scrambled periods for breakfast for the past 26 years?
