GOODFELLAS: SE, who's on the cast commentary?

I am surprised there's no word on this. Either it's just Martin and Lorraine Brocco, or I don't know.

Anyone know who's on the cast track? I'd really like to find out. Thanks in advance!!

I've heard De Niro do commentaries, and he's not exactly great at it. You're probably not missing much.

I wonder if these commentaries are pre taped and solo.

I seriously seriously doubt all those guys are sitting with each other.

It depends. Sometimes they are all in a room watching the movie (you can tell because they interact with each other) and sometimes they do separate commentaries and just edit together the best parts. It does seem like a lot of people for one commentary, but I've seen ones with at least 5 or 6.

They should have done multiple commentaries and split them between Director and Writer, Producers and Crew, Cast.

Commentary by ex-gangster Henry Hill and ex-FBI agent Edward McDonald.

That's the other commentary, this is the one I'm awaiting. I wanna hear what Henry has to say...

I heard him on Meet the Parents and he was mostly quiet. I was hoping if he was to do one for Goodfellas, he'd put more effort into it.

I just picked it up today at my local street date breaker for $20 and cancelled my 20% off order with DDD as this was on my top five want list. I rarely do this but this is an exception. I avoided the bare bones flipper and haven't seen the film since its theatrical release. As soon as I get home from work I have a Texas Holdem tourney but plan on watching it when I get home at about 3:00AM.

I'll try to post a review by tomorrow in the review forum.

Like I said in that other Goodfellas thread, it sucks to hear that the cast commentary track isn't even a full one. I just find it hard to believe that, with this many participants, you'd think every dead spot would be filled. Oh well, at least the Henry Hill/Edward McDonald track is supposed to be really good. I usually like commentaries done by the people who inspired the movie (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Black Hawk Down come to mind).
