So...I walk in to Walmart and find myself at FRAGGLE ROCK!!
For some reason, I found myself at Wal*Mart tonight. After diving through the $5.88 bin [they must have cameras trained on these bins so they can laugh as customers dive through these things], I wander over to the New Release DVD racks.
After grabbing a copy of Hellboy, I begin looking at the TV Box Set when something catches my eye. Mixed in amongst the kids DVDs they're staring at me:
Red, Gobo, Mokey, Wembley & Boober along with a couple of Doozers.
Needless to say, I grabbed it. It was $10. It has four episodes total [according to the cover...I haven't opened it yet]. The episodes are Beginnings, Wembley And the Gorgs and two bonus episodes - Let the Water Run and Pingu Is Introduced. Total running time, again, according to the cover, is 80 minutes [including bonus episodes].
There's even more information [with tons 'o links] over HERE .

A show about creatures hooked on eating crystals that small creatures played around with.
Sounds like Henson hit the pipe a bit to much.. if you know what I mean.

I've checked our local Wal-Mart (Norwalk CT) a couple of times looking for this, but if it's there, I can't find it. It's not on the Wal-Mart web site or the HIT Entertainment site either. Maybe I just have to keep going back until I get lucky. I did see this on Ebay, so that's a possibility.

They're using the DVD to test the market, but making it exclusive to one store? (Granted, one HELL of a big chain, but still...) Doesn't make much sense.
Anyway, thanks for the heads-up! I missed the news earlier and really love this show. Great news... I'll gladly pick a few of these up (one for me, several for gifts) to help show support for future season sets.

I hope they come out with season sets. Then, bring on the Muppet Show!!

This makes me happy . I'll file this one under "guilty pleasure" since I'm much too old to be enjoying such kids' fare, but I loved this show when it was on! Even when it was on I was probably too old to be watching it. Now I can't wait to get to WalMart.
