Millennium Season 1: any idea about sales yet?

I was wondering if anyone has any idea of how this set is doing in sales. since the remaining 2 seasons depend on it I hope it's doing very well.

Season 2 has been announced for release in England, so hopefully it'll be announced for R1 soon.

Video business usually has their charts up Thursday night/Friday morning. You might want to check there then.

I didn't buy it, but Best Buy seemed to have a lot of them on their shelf yesterday.

Hopefully the people at Fox understand that many people (like me) may not want to buy Season 1 until they know Season 2 will be available. I wouldn't S1 without S2 to wrap it up.

I did my part. I do think the studios under estimate the amount of people who don't buy until several seasons or the entire series are out.

Anyone have a link to the differences between the UK first season set and the one we got?
The Box set is looking nice but the U.S. version is awfully sweet (sound, Picture, cases etc...) so maybe I will have to buy both.

I've sold a good 10 of them. I deal with very few orders, so that will tell you there is a market for it.

This is a bonus because fox was basing the sales of this for future plans on the lone gunmen and john doe dvd treatment.

lone gunmen
Given the opening scene of LG do you really think we'll ever actually see that on DVD

Yes. it will be on dvd, no matter how bad it was.

but as for the scene.. yeah, given the situation, it still will end up on dvd. Because if fox see's potential sales, they will put it out.

Is this a decent blind buy? I loved the X-files. Have every season. Does it have the same kind of mood and character development of X-files?

I would get that region 2 box but the dollar is doing really bad compared to the pound. I also wasn't the biggest fan of season 3 so Season 1 and 2 might be it for me when I get some money.

This article was in our local paper today:
http://www.newsok.com/article/1285464/
It will probably be gone from the web after a couple of days
In case it is this quote was in there:

"Millennium fans will be pleased that Fox Home Entertainment is also planning DVD releases of the other two seasons of "X-Files" mentor Chris Carter's moody saga of Frank Black (Henriksen), the former FBI profiler battling the darkest evils".

It's credited to Zap2it.com, but I couldn't find the article there either.

I'm an x-files freak, and I bought it blind. I'm really enjoying it so far. Very similar mood to the serious x-files episodes. Can't really comment on Character development, I'm only 4 episodes in.

I found Mellennium to be much darker in tone then x-files and it only got darker. Character development was there but it got a little messy during the later seasons.

That's great news! Millennium is my all-time favorite show, so I'm pleased that the S1 set is doing well! The picture/sound quality on the S1 set is fantastic! Can't wait for S2 and 3!

Does anyone think Fox might include The X-Files episode "Millennium" on the S3 set? It kinda gives a bit of closure to Frank Black, so it'd be nice to have the episode without shelling out a lot of money to buy that particular XF season.

That would be awesome if they mangaged that, especially since I never got to see that episode.
