Me to, I enjoy the figures/items just as much as I do the movies Can't wait for this one even though I have the regular one coming today or tomorrow.

Just picked up the 2-Disc and wanted to let ya'll know that the 2-Disc Theatrical has a $5 Rebate for the Directors Cut...it also does not mention that it will have the same extras has the 2-Disc...I will probably keep both...

Does it give any clues to what the extra's will be for the DC dvd?

It just mentions "Discs of features" the new DC, commentary, and the figurine...which looks f**kin awesome! It'll probably be around the size of the Monster Legacy busts...

I just finished the movie...and wow! This is a Reference DVD all the way...incredibly sharp and detailed video and bombastic and subtle audio...I highly doubt even a superbit could get much better than this...and you just know theres gonna be one down the pike...

after just having watched the movie for a second time...I really dont know how a DC would improve upon this...to me...this is a perfect film...perfect pace...incredible action...characters etc...its all balanced perfectly...hope the DC doesnt make it feel bloated...

My video interview with Guillermo is now online here:
http://ugo.com/channels/filmTv/exclu...rticleID=12190

He talks about special features on the Director's Cut, including the new commentary track (as well as Hellboy 2).

Thank you so much for posting the info! I'm such a sucker for this film I'll probably end up getting the gift set, even though I usually get the cheaper editions. They did such an amazing job with just the theatrical cut DVD, I can't wait to see this.

It's seems to be made clear here (I don't know how reliable dvddebate.com is, though):

I got my Hellboy disc Monday. I will also buy the Director's Cut in October without the action figure. I bought the gift sets of LOTR, but don't really feel like I needed to. The extras are still sitting in the boxes and I don't know what I'd ever do with them.
