Bad Miyagi. Karate Kid - new insights many years later.

I just watched Karate Kid on AMC the other day. I have not seen it in atleast 10-15 years and after watching it realized Mr. Miyagi is guilty of many things:

-Supplying alcohol to a minor
-Forced labor and breaking child labor laws
-Stealing
-Endangering the welfare of a child
-Practicing non-FDA approved medical techniques
-Assault

All these years I thought the old man was a good guy. Bad Mr. Miyagi. Bad.

I was watching Star Wars and someone said the Death Star doesn't exist.

Daniel-San is no saint himself. He's guilty of the following:

-Dating a fat chick (remedied in the second film)

Yeah, but the girl did shed some of those pounds years later. Now, she looks a lot like the chick in "The Saint" with Val Kilmer. If only Daniel could have held out a bit longer.

I just watched it on AMC a couple of nights ago also, and thought of several of the same things.

Giving alcohol to a 15 year old (he hadn't quite yet turned 16), giving a car without seatbelts to a 16 year old, and beating up 16 and 17 year old kids. Not to mention, I couldn't figure out why Daniel's mother would let her 15 year old kid spend days and days with an old man, by themselves.
