Could someone reccomened the next TV show I should get?

I'm nearly done with "Sex and the City"(except for season 6, which I am holding out for in hopes the do a COMPLETE sixth season). What should the next DVD set I delve into be?

Sopranos?
Alias?
Dead Like Me?

Any reccomendations would be great

C.S.I.
Homicide
Cheers
Friends (wait for a new season release, and then buy all of them from Best Buy, as you end up getting the whole set for about $20 a season).
The Twilight Zone (original)

You didn't let us know what you already own, so I just picked the best of what I have (and intentionally omitted X Files 1-9 as I haven't had a chance to watch them yet).

I have never seen the Sopranos, so this should be great to check out. Ihave always wanted to see it.

In regards to "Sex and the City". Someone I believbe postd that it will be out in November, but are there any rumours or plans to do a COMPLETE SIXTH SEASON?

I have thought about "The Shield", but things like Child pornigraphy and spousal abuse(i.e. real issue) just make me depressed.
I have thought about CSI, is that much more cerebral than The Shield?

I second "The Dead Zone" suggestion. Watched both seasons 1 and 2 last week for the first time, and it's now my favorite TV drama series.

Sopranos
Alias would be a good one
24
Shield
Stargate

Those are the ones i'm working on. I've seen all of the Sopranos, but I just love them.

What kind of TV shows have enjoyed in the past?

If you liked Sex & the City and if you liked Seinfeld, my recommendation for your next purchase would be:

Coupling

The first 3 seasons are available on DVD. S4 just recently aired.

As for CSI vs Shield, The Shield is far more cerebral than CSI.

Let me chime in once more for The Dead Zone - although you can't go wrong with The Sopranos or 24, either. And Buffy The Vampire Slayer is also worth your time and money, if you haven't seen it.

Sopranos, Sports Night are crucial

Six Feet Under is also quite good but sometimes very different from other HBO shows (I was surprised when I first started watching it).

Seems like everyone's recommending dramas -- and most of the ones you've mentioned are also in that category -- but since you're coming off one HBO comedy (Sex and the City), why not another HBO comedy? I recommend:

Curb Your Enthusiasm

I'd recommend Dawson's Creek or Freaks and Geeks (LE Yearbook)

Have you EVER seen The X-Files, the biggest cult show phenomenon after the original Star Trek series?
