How about both?? I also want to get this set, but also can't decide. I'll probably just end up getting the tin though.

I like the tin for easier storage and display.

You might want to get confirmation/second opinion on this, but I think the Korean R3 LE set does not have the DTS track that the R1 Tin has.

greydt is correct. The Korean R3/R4 "Military LE" has the most elaborate packaging, but lacks the DTS track of the R1 Tin.

Get the TIN.

I have it and it's owesome.

Why haven't you got it in the first place?

Get it before you get bad news like it's out of print and such.

Your local shop must not be Best Buy. Those jerks would throw the last copies away if they knew somebody really wanted it.

GET THE TIN!!!
Seriously.. it adds a little something to the whole presentation... kinda gives it the feel of an MRE when you have it in your hand.

definitely not best buy. its a smaller place with a large selection. and i buy so many dvd's that they actually save stuff for me to see before they put it on the shelves. some people are against used DVD's, but often the used ones i get there arent used at all. they save almost all of them for me whenever they get it in used within a week of its release. i guess they have people come in who have been at best buy with big pockets and needing cash if you know what i mean.

oh and ive had that t in in my hands and at no point in time did i think of an MRE. haha. i hate those things. the spaghetti is decent, but man do they tear up my stomach.

What is your "local shop"? I do not want to snipe your stuff, but if there is a good local shop I should be checking out I would like to know.

The "Field Guide" which is on the R1, and is very useful in keeping track of all the characters, may not be on the Korean discs.

I didn't even realize that there were multiple editions of this movie. The R1 tin is just fine, though, and the series is excellent. Just be willing to put with possibly not being able to distinguish the characters much at the beginning.

My favorite boxset. Now fairly available used at decent prices as well.

Tin set is good. Just be careful, the disks are hard to get out.

cd warehouse on NW expressway. ive heard positives and negatives about cd warehouse on here, but this one has always been good to me. maybe theres a bunch of people in here that dont like it........and thats most likely due to the fact that im in there every other day at least :-p. i also shop quite a bit at movie trading company in dallas. they are a bit shifty with prices, but one of the better used selections around.
