Fahrenheit 9/11 --> Oct. 5th!
Not meant to turn into a political discussion (so don't even think about it!), Columbia TriStar will release "Fahrenheit 9/11" on Oct. 5th.

I can't wait.
Also, I saw this thing at work from MGM that said they were putting out a Moore boxset with Bowling For Columbine, The Big One, and a special disc of footage from Moore's book tour for Dude, Where's My Country.
Yes, I realize that The Big One is Miramax and BFC is MGM, but the letter made a point of mentioning this and that it was "special." I don't recall the release date, I'll try to get a look at it today if it hasn't already been tossed.

I don't see where you all get your fandom for Moore. For those outside the States, I can see, and it's not surprising, but for Americans to adore him and his movies is really shocking.

Can't wait for this. Haven't seen the film yet and not sure if I will get to the theater to see it. I have enjoyed everything I have seen of his so far, and can't see myself not enjoying this one in particular.

That people would waste anymore of their time and money on this guy, buying the DVD, that's how.

That being said, I will probably just rent this one.
I have already seen it once, and I just don't know about the replay value. That being said, if there are really good special features such as bonus footage or a really low price I may get it.

Nice to see he learned his lesson ... and stopped admitting he knew he was breaking the rules.
To *try* (likely in vain) to keep this thread on track, any word on the extras? It was far and away my least favorite Moore movie, so I probably won't buy it, but if there were some good extras, I might think about it.

It would be nice if plenty of bonus footage of the things left out of the film were included.
While a pretty good powerful documentary. It did feel just a bit rushed at some moments,where afterwards I realized their were some huge things left out,that may have added to the film.
Such as the huge anti-war protest rally among a few other things.

I won't have the time to see "Fahrenheit" until this weekend, but I'm really looking forward to it. Then in October I'll be buying two copies, one for me and one to donate to my local library in Mike Lowrey's name.

If I don't see it in theaters one more time before it ends its run, I'll probably buy this. If I do see it again, I'll rent it to check out the special features and decide then if it's worth the purchase.
And Mike, come on man, haven't you learned your lesson yet?
