I was in playtesting for Matrix Online. Yeah, I know anyone can say this, but trust me when I say you will appreciate this game if you don't mind combat of the complexity of a Yu-Gi-Oh card game.

I'm really hesitant to do a pay-to-play game. For some reason I haven't even been able to justify it with free games that have a subscription. I don't know.

Bring on Half Life 2, though I'm not a fan of the first one, the upgraded graphics engine will atleast provide for some awesome mods, which is why the first one ruled for me

Guys the only thing I know is my wallet will be very thin come this fall, and it's NOT because PC games only! You have an insane DVD line up! Lots of awesome movies coming our way, XBOX has a boat load of great games and I'm talking a vacation in the fall too! I'm going to need a second job!

Yeah, there's lot of good PC games coming this fall. One game that wasn't on Trigger's list that I really want is Rome:Total War. I love the Total War series and this one looks really awesome. I'm really looking forward to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. too. Kinda bummed it was delayed.
Has anyone watched the Decisive Battles series on the History Channel? They are using the RTW engine to show ancient battles. It's pretty cool. Although I have seen discussion that they are using an earlier build of the game. Still looks awesome. It comes on Friday's at 8pm central.

Metroid Prime 2 is, I think, the only game I'm stoked for.. but my wallet will suffer from this fall's massive DVD selection. I've bought maybe a dozen so far this whole year.. but I think there's like a dozen I want in September alone.

Trigger, if you're wanting to save some money, I'd suggest you pass on Full Spectrum Warrior, or at least wait 'til it gets cheaper. It's very linear and the action gets monotonous pretty quickly. (And yes, I understood it wasn't meant to be a first-person shooter.) Search for the discussion thread for when it came out for X-Box. And Driver 3 got pretty bad reviews.

Yeah - I'm probably going to pick up FSW on the Xbox - after trying the demo, I think it's acceptable on the console. As for Driv3r, I don't think I'm going to go near it... maybe pick up the xbox version used. I played it at E3 and wasn't too impressed.
I played Stalker at E3 as well and it was pretty tight. Surprised they're holding it back. It's basically done afaik. They are probably tweaking the multiplayer (which is hella fun) and playtesting... I wouldn't be surprised if they put it out in time for Christmas, but I won't hold my breath either.

$50.... San Andreas.... I think I'll live through it. It's about time I get back into the gaming world. And if anything's gonna do it, it's the good folks at Rockstar who'll make me dust off my PS2.
