Monk is new and good as is Dead Zone, but that is all I am recording to watch. As a result, there is a lot of free time that is not filled with quality tv. Am I doing something that time? You bet I am. I'm watching poor quality shows for 15 minutes and looking elsewhere.
So what is worth recording to watch right now?

Here's what TV I've been watching, am in the middle of watching, or plan to watch in the near future...
Dead Like Me: The Complete 1st Season
Six Feet Under: The Complete 2nd Season
Xena: The Complete 4th Season
Buffy: The Complete 6th Season
Angel: The Complete 3rd Season
The Simpsons: The Complete 4th Season
Coupling: The Complete 3rd Season
Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere
I stopped watching TV completely, so I keep forgetting to turn it on when Monk is on- which is too bad as I like that show. I'll be sure to keep my eye out for the marathon which is sure to come just before the season (or half-season?) finale.
I did tune into The 4400 and will likely continue to tune in... if I can remember to turn off my DVD player at that time.

I watch Le Tour de France daily and
The Amazing Race
The 4400
Six Feet Under
for new shows and
The Rifleman
Outer Limits
Avengers
The Prisoner
The Saint
Stargate
The Thin Blue Line
Absolutely Fabulous
and a few more older shows I can't remember at the moment.
Now that I have an HD DirecTV TiVo I record most sporting events that are in high-def and watch them later on while listening to music. I can't stand most sports announcers but I'll stick around long enough for the player introductions.
I also have some HD movies queued up - "10", Butterfield 8, The Glass Bottom Boat and Driving Miss Daisy are the ones that I can recall off the top of my head.
Nothing to watch? No way. The queues on my TiVo's always have something on them worth watching.

Nothing except a little news and Sports Center. I'm not watching any actual "shows" now. I am reading books and watching a few favorites on DVD. I'm like a teacher taking the summer off before gearing up for the big fall season...

Actually, for a person like me, who has a fairly narrow interest area and has watched most first runs, it seems very slow. I don't like any reality TV. I will check out 4400, though.

Two of TVs best shows -- Six Feet Under and Nip/Tuck are mid-season with new eps.
Let's see ... Monk, The Dead Zone, and The 4400 ... you're Bonnie Hammer's kid, aren't you?

I love the 90s. (I know the reviews have been less than stellar, but so far I like it)
Some stuff I have been neglecting:
Star Trek DS9 (I'm up to season 3 now)
Freaks and Geeks (not the greatest show ever, but it is enjoyable, and I'll miss the characters after I see the last episode)
A show I have been REALLY neglecting:
Arrested Development

All I know is the first time I watched Joe Schmo is the ep before this most recent one. The episode on 3 nights ago is probably one of the funniest 60 minutes ever displayed on television. I am kicking myself for not watching this show sooner.
