Worth Getting? (Sony DDW760)

Is this worth getting? Is there anything worth getting at around this price? Would the poor quality be more of an annoyance or would it still be better than regular TV? Thanks

I live in Canada btw. I looked up Onkyo and at the 2 stores i found, the Onkyo 760 was $750 (CDN.). Too much for me. I'm just wondering, would i rather use the TV audio than use a very cheap sony HTIB?
