Anyone know if Fox is going to broadcast the game in HD? I heard earlier this year that this would be one of FOX's first HDTV broadcasts, but can find nothing on the FOX site about it. I'm tired of seeing their sporting events non-HD.

The best part of last night's Home Run Derby was watching it in HD...it added a whole new level to my enjoyment.

[Moderators - Forgive me if this has been brought up in another thread...I couldn't find one specific to this question in my searches]

So far it looks like it'll only be in HD on the Houston FOX station, KRIV. I'm hoping that I can pickup the game tonight. :)

Yes, but Fox seems to be putting out a different story...guess it's a "wait and see" game. Last time I tuned in FOX in Pittsburgh, they weren't even broadcasting the widescreen (non-HD) stuff (like "24") in widescreen...

If your FOX affiliate is O&O and the new equipment has been installed, there might be a chance. D* might have it, but no one knows yet.

Fox is upgrading for a 720p rollout this Fall. They were supposed to have it ready for the All-Star game, but have issued nothing recently. It is now reported that it will be HD in Houston and keep your fingers crossed for HD everywhere that usually does that sort of thing. I am sure DirecTV would LOVE to have it in HDTV the only question is will it be provided? Hope Fox has all this ready for FOOTBALL and PRIMETIME this Fall. They have been way behind on this for years now.

Looks pretty good in HD. Can't wait for the NFL season to start. :D

They'd have a lot of pissed off people if its not ready in time for Football season. They've already announced that they'll be airing as many as six games a week in HD.

I have Comcast cable and we don't have fox on HD yet which pisses me off, I wanted to watch tonights game in HD. The HR derby on ESPN HD was cool.

Only a handful of cities were able to see the game in HD. This was just a test run before the actual launch of FOX-HD in August/September.

I saw much of the game last night and in Charlotte they were carrying a widescreen nice image. However, I would have guessed that it was 480p (at least in my area). Looked like Fox football from last year (widescreen 480p). Not nearly as nice as the ABC 720p for Monday Night Football. There were also LOTS of non-HD cameras which sometimes looked poor. Lots of upconverted signals (like the Super Bowl) at least. I'll give Fox a D+ and hope for better in the Fall.
