So..how bad is De-Lovely?

The reviews have been coming in and they aren't good. Anyone see it yet?

Really really bad. Weak script, with a creaky framing device that goes back to Dickens, and hideous renditions of Porter songs by pop stars like Alanis Morissette, Elvis Costello, and Sheryl Crow in performances that in a just world should end their careers. Kevin Kline and Ashley Judd do a nice job, but everything is stacked against them. It's painful to watch.

the older audience members I saw it at had a ball with this film, the film's style is highly reminescinet of MGM musicals, hence why it probably was released by them. Kline and Judd's acting is commendable but the script is a mess, and I for one didn't learn anything new about Porter after experiencing this film, and because of this fact the film becomes disappointing and underwhelming.

I agree with everything The Escapist said, except for the "Kevin Kline and Ashley Judd do a nice job" part.
