Anyone buy movies on pay per view?

PPV is basically a rip-off in this age of DVD. No OAR, no extras, etc.
I suppose that for some people it's an easy thing to do (that's what they count on) but I'm not that lazy.

Yeah, it's the OAR problem that prevents me from doing it - EVER!
But I will watch a film I don't care about, but have an interest in, on the free ON DEMAND.

I just Netflix any movies I would've bought on pay-per-view, but don't really want to buy. It's cheaper that way and the quality's way better.

I currently do not, but I just got an HDTV, and the quality of a good HDTV broadcast is actually better than current DVDs. So..if my cable company gets a pay channel, (HD on DEMAND?) I might consider it. (better picture, in the OAR, and 5.1 sound.)
I've actually started watching HBO again for more than just The Sopranos and Six Feet Under!

No, but I might if they were OAR.

To me, PPV in its current state is the worst, unless you TIVO it and watch it later. Otherwise, you can't pause it... and the home offers many more opportunities for disruption.

I never do the pay-per-view for most of the reasons stated already, but the main one is the OAR reason, and I just signed up with netflix which I'm pretty excited about.

I pay-per-viewed (well, On Demand, same thing) tonight for the first time...i never do for all the reasons above. But i did tonight because i was watching Eurotrip on dvd, and it had a bad scratch in it and i couldnt watch the last couple chapters.
