Re: SpiderMan 3?

Just wondering (and please, do not be upset with me starting yet another thread of the Spider Man, I thought it was excellent by the way)
But when is Spider Man 3 coming out???
Anyone knows?
Also, Are there any places on the web, where you can look up movies in progress, what is coming out in the next few years and all that fun stuff?
Any info as usual appreciated.
Thanks a lot.
Have a good one!

id guess sometime 2006 (spiderman 1 came out in 2002, and 2 came out in 2004, so it would make sense that 3 came out in 2006

No dice, you have angered the gods. You shall be struck down by some evil power.

2007 was the last I heard from a reliable source from sony.

Wasn't there already an exact date planned? Like July 7 or something.

Yes, plus Activision announced Spider-Man 3 a few weeks ago coming out with the movie's release in 2007.

Activision also has another, more comic-centric Spider-Man game coming out sometime in the next 2 years (2005-2006).

I just watched that today, and he did in fact say 2008, but he was more specific- May 4th, 2008, which is a Saturday. Being that May 4th in '07 is a Friday, it sounds more likely. I also can't see them waiting 4 years for the follow-up, the actors aren't getting any younger!

Looking foward to it! I haven't read the comics, but are the movies following the same story line as the comics, ie uncle dying, his best friend going after him etc?

The films' plotline is sort of an amalgamation of years of Spider-Man history. For example, the scene with Mary Jane and the Green Goblin in the first movie is a reimagining of a famous Spider-Man scene that took place on the Brooklyn Bridge -- except Mary Jane is the one that is kidnapped, and the outcome is changed.

Sam Raimi said May 2008 so I have to believe him.
