"The Knife" pretty much took care of business tonight. Hasan had little chance, but with a 2nd place prize of just under $1.4 million, I doubt he was feeling too much disappointment.

But like Sexton said, the Knife knew when to throw away cards and lose small pots, while picking up the big pots to put away the other players.
The first guy to get the boot, Brecher, just couldn't find a way to give up his hand when he should have (and when so many larger cards were out there that could have beaten his small pair in his hand).

Oh I'm not saying that the Knife didn't do a great job with folding at the right times, I'm just saying that things become a little easier when you get thrown pocket pairs left and right like he was.
Then you had one guy (Hasan? Or was it the guy who went out 2nd to last?) who either went all-in or put a huge bet out there with a 5-2 offsuit pre-flop. Craziness.

Anyone think the WPT Championship should stretch out to several episodes instead of just one? I would have been great to see more of the early tournament action with all the pros going at each other.

Knowing these are edited down to 2 hours - It's not very suspenseful, when there's 10 - 15 minutes left in the match and the chip leader is so far ahead in the match that you know he can't lose.

That's why I never pay attention to the time when watching these things. I have a general idea when it will end, but I hope to maintain at least a small amount of suspense. I always TiVo the eps and watch them at some random time. When I FF, I actually block out the progress indicator to maintain the illusion.
