For anyone so inclined, I've been going hog wild for the past few months downloadings 100's of shows spaning the 60's - 90's. I assume they'll eventually fill in the half dozen missing years. Chances are that if there's a show you're looking for from the years posted so far, you'll find it there. Very high quality stuff for the most part from different source recordings (aud, sbd, FM, pre-FM feed). They have shn, mp3 formats, links to d/l individual songs (for sampling prior to d/l the entire show) or zip file entire shows parsed into separate song files after unzipping. Deadhead in the Deadhead candy store Big-Time!!! For anyone interested, I'll set up a B&P for any/all of my DVDTalk friends. Feel free to ask questions here or email me privately. Enjoy!

The missing years should be up by the end of July, from what I gather - 84 is in progress, 87-89 are next, and 80 last

I believe that the best sources known to circulate are being used. That said, I hope that some better sources surface someday for some of the current aud versions.

A broadband connection is recommended (most of the shows are about 1 GB), and a good FTP client such as SmartFTP

Speaking of GD, I've heard that the original GD movie (from Winterland 74, with the trippy cartoon intro) is going to be released on DVD this fall

Thanks for reminding me about this site. I had gotten some dead shows from it i believe a little over a year ago (i might be thinking of a diff archive site however). I was pretty stoked to see they had a bunch of other artists as well, especially Dr. Didj.

Now if i can just figure out how i'm supposed to listen to the md5 files everything will be good.

Can any of you Deadheads out there give me some show reccomendations. I've just gotten into their music, and I've liked what I've heard. Possibly a good jam show, and a good singing show. Either/Or would be a big help, there's an awful large seleciton on there!
