Disney goes 3D without Pixar. Actually doesn't look too bad to me, but i guess we'll see

Looks cute. But seriously, it's a shame Disney thinks this is the only type of animation people want to see. While I'm happy to see Disney extend its talents into new forms, CG especially, I wouldn't be bitching except that this isn't expansion, this is replacement, which is just such a steaming crock of BS that God Eisner should just die.

I like Disney...I really like their animated work. Even in the last few years they've had some entertaining movies, like Lilo and Stich and Emperor's New Groove. While they definately needed to take their head out of the formula rut, and be a little more creative, THIS is not the right direction. It should be one of many directions.

Nonetheless, what the hell is this about? little chicken causes sky to fall?

It's about the fall out that Chicken Little has to deal with once his mistake is uncovered, and how he tries to fix his reputation.

The chicken isn't very cute. Nemo was cute. Woody and Buzz were cute. Chicken Little...not very cute.

Doesn't look too bad. I chuckled a few times during the trailer, but I'll wait until the movie comes out on dvd then reserve judgement; I don't have much faith in Disney's homegrown efforts over the past few years.

all leading up to the demise of Eisner.

But seriously, movies like Aladdin, Lion King & Beauty & the Beast are just as good today as they were 10 years ago. An animated film can only be as good as the story allows it. This is where Disney has dropped the ball the past 8 or so years. It is not the fact that they are 2D and not 3D.

The trailer looks good in terms of animation. Based on the last few Disney animated films, this will probably fail because it's just not a very original or well written movie, not because the animation isn't high quality. The "formula" they seem to rely on is the problem--this is why Lilo & Stitch, which was developed and written by an outsider IIRC, was so much better than everything else since The Lion King.

Home on the Range?

Now Chicken Little?

What, some marketting weasel at Disney has decided that movies about farm animals are the new hotness?

Liked the idea of JD from Scrubs. Good casting call, but I agree with freedexter, he is kinda scary looking. Maybe I just picture him different in my mind, more like Henry Hawk from Looney Tunes.

Boring trailer too.
