i haven't seen or heard of anything he's done since the wcw merged with the wwf. i'm wondering basically if he's been ok now that he's been out of the spotlight for the past few years.

I saw him less than a month ago on Dennis Miller. You may want to check out amazon.com since I believe he was promoting his new book.

I'm not sure, but I think he may have had throat cancer since his voice was all scratchy and he talked about being sick with Dennis.

I used to hate Bobby, but he had a serious sense of humor on the show and threw out more punchlines than Dennis Miller (which really isn't all that hard to do nowadays).

It was all about the chemistry between Gorilla & The Brain.

I encourage you to watch the WWE Hall of Fame DVD. Heenan's induction speech lasts about 30 minutes and is hilarious.

Since he left WCW he has written two books. They are not very long but they are both interesting reads if you like wrestling.

I wish the WWE would release a managers DVD-The Grand Wizard,Fred Blassie,Capt.Lou Albano,Bobby Heenan,Jimmy Hart and the list goes on and on.Its ashame that the younger wrestling fans will probably never get a climpse of my boyhood idol-The Grand Wizard(Abdullah Faurook).

I'm with you. No one comes even close to the late, great Ernie Roth: Mc........MAAAAAANNNN.

Anytime a discussion of managers comes up, I try to point out to the 'young'uns' just how incedible he was; he was in a league all by himself. Blassies' early stuff was also very good, but after that, there's a huge drop off. In my book, Albano never even came close......

For anyone who is interested, I just saw Bobby Heenan on Monday Night Wrestling. He has lost a massave amount of weight and you can't hardly understand what he says. It almost sounds like he is speaking as if he were deaf. I'm not sure what happened to him but he almost unrecognizeable.

How old is he now? He looks 70, he doesn't look good for his age which is a shame...

He also did a few shows for Ring of Honor ( http://www.rohwrestling.com ). Including a couple matches managing against Jim Cornette. Colt Cabana and Heenan together was comic gold. Only problem with RoH is they are tape based, if you want to see the show you either have to go or buy a tape.

Bobby had throat cancer and had to have part of his tongue removed. I understand aside from his slight speech impediment, he is now healthy.

Looks a little like Joe Pesci and a lot like Hellraiser.

And you can surpisingly still make out everything he says.

I think for those of us that grew up with Bobby's voice for 15 years it is noticeable, but if you didn't know him, you probably wouldn't notice it.

ROH is having a massive sale on DVD's (and pretty much everything else on the site) right now, until Wednesday night (9pm eastern, I believe). There's a series called "Straight Shootin' " that has 3 volumes of conversations between Bobby Heenan and Jim Cornette. I haven't watched it yet, but I've heard nothing but positive things about it. Their website has more details on the price breaks and discount codes.

What about Hacksaw Jim Duggan?

Hacksaw beat cancer twice, and appeared recently in the build-up to WWE's Taboo Tuesday.
