Remember, this is just Ultimate Jordan with a bonus disc of just the games (which I bet are probably already on the History of the Bulls disc).
Personally, I see no need to upgrade.

I hope the final game with the Bulls is on there as well. That one had me on the edge of my seat for the last half.

Any word on what the 5 games are? I certainly hope these are not the games in the Chicago Bulls DVD. Also, to fit 5 games in one disk? These most likely will be edited games and not entire games. : ( Still, as a Jordan fan, I most likely will get this as well!

Information on this one (or at least on what the five games are) is certainly lacking.
Here are the games on the Chicago Bulls set:
1991 NBA Finals, Game 5
1992 NBA Finals, Game 1
1993 NBA Finals, Game 6
1996 NBA Finals, Game 6
1997 NBA Finals, Game 5 (flu game)
1998 NBA Finals, Game 6 ("The Last Shot")
Assuming those won't be duplicated on the new Jordan set, I'd think (or at least hope) that some of these will make the cut:
1982 NCAA Championship game (not gonna happen, but how cool would that be?)
1986 Playoffs vs. Boston (63 points)
1988 All-Star Game
1989 Cleveland ("The Shot")
1992 Finals vs. Portland, Game 6
1993 Finals vs. Phoenix, Game 5 (55 points)
1995 New York Knicks (55-point MSG comeback)
1997 Finals vs. Utah, Game 6
Guess we'll find out in a few days. . .

1995 New York Knicks (55-point MSG comeback)
1997 Finals vs. Utah, Game 6
Guess we'll find out in a few days. . .
And here are the five complete games on the new set, via the HTF:
* 1986 NBA Playoffs: 1st Round, Game 2 vs. Boston Celtics — Jordan scores 63 points
* 1990 Regular Season: Game vs. Cleveland Cavaliers — Jordan scores a career-high 69 points
* 1993 NBA Finals: Game 4 vs. Phoenix Suns — Jordan scores 55 points
* 1997 NBA Finals: Game 5 vs. Utah Jazz — Jordan scores 38 points fighting the flu
* 1998 NBA Finals: Game 6 vs. Utah Jazz — Jordan's final game in a Bulls' uniform
And of course, two of those games (1997 and '98 Finals) are duplicated from the Chicago Bulls set. Lame.
Still, though--I got two of the three "new" games right. Man, I was really hoping to see that 1995 Knicks comeback game in there, though.
Also, Best Buy is advertising a bonus disc of the 1988 Slam Dunk Contest if you get the set through them. $23.99.
Sweet, I'm going to be picking this us. Hopefully BB will have this bonus disk in store. It doesn't say anywhere that it's online only.

There's a little, oddly-worded blurb about the bonus disc in the weekly ad. It reads:
"BONUS DVD
Watch Michael Jordan fly over the competition in this MAJOR 1988 slam dunk contest. 833 minutes, including Jordan's top 5 games in their entirety."
Should be available both in stores and online. Now--how many copies they're gonna have, and how many of those copies will have the bonus disc--that's another matter entirely.

I bought the version that came out last year, I have all of the Bulls finals games on tape, and they show the 63 and 69 point games on ESPN Classic from time to time, so I'll pass on this. Like Virex said, I wish they had put "the shot" game 5 vs. the Cavs and the 55 point game against the Knicks on this set.

Well, I'm a sucker, so I broke down today and bought this, even though I have the first Ultimate Jordan set and the Bulls set already.
The reason I'm posting is that some were curious (and rightfully so) about how the five complete games were configured, so here it is:
Disc 1 - Side A:
-Come Fly with Me
-Michael Jordan's Playground
-Air Time
Disc 1 - Side B:
-Above & Beyond
-His Airness
-Special Features
Disc 2 - Side A:
-1986 NBA Playoffs 1st Round Game 2 vs. Boston Celtics:
Jordan Scores 63 Points (144 minutes)
Disc 2 - Side B:
-1990 Reg. Season Game vs. Cleveland Cavaliers:
Jordan scores a career high 69 points (132 minutes)
Disc 3 - Side A:
-1993 NBA Finals Game 4 vs. Phoenix Suns:
Jordan scores 55 points (119 minutes)
-1997 NBA Finals Game 5 vs. Utah Jazz:
Jordan scores 38 points fighting the flu (119 minutes)
Disc 3 - Side B:
-1998 NBA Finals Game 6 vs. Utah Jazz:
Jordan's final game in a Bulls' uniform (131 minutes)
Haven't watched any of this stuff yet, so I can't answer any questions about the picture quality or anything, but having four hours' worth of stuff on Side A of that third disc is obviously gonna be the concern. Not that you use things like this to demo your TV or anything, but still.
Wouldn't it have been great if they could have put the two old games on one side of one disc instead?

And, to comment on the "bonus" disc, it contains the whole Dunk Contest from 1988, with all of the replays, discussion, etc.
Runs about 50 minutes.
Very well-done. I wish all bonus discs were this good.

Darn, now I wish that I had gotten the Best Buy one instead of preordering from Amazon.

Just got this today for $19 and change and even though I already own the Original Ultimate Jordan, I had to get this for the games and the SLAM DUNK 88' contest.
The Slam Dunk 88' Contest will be $$$ once it becomes OOP on eBay.

I already had the old set but decided to buy the new one for the games. I'll just give the old one to my cousin. I ordered mine from Amazon and got the Slam Dunk '88 dvd yesterday for free from a friend of mine who works at Best Buy. That slam dunk dvd is totally worth it. If you're a big enough fan to buy the dvd, you should get the bonus disc too.

Yes, or CBS, or whatever network had the NBA at the time. They're the original network telecasts.

I typed "Michael Jordan" and searched for DVDs. It was the first one in the list:

I don't know what you're looking at, but the description there says 3 discs. And the picture clearly shows that it is the 3 disc set with 5 additional games.
I'm really curious where you're looking now...

I was just going to overlook these DVDs but after seeing you get the 88 dunk contest with it, I want to get it. Is this only at Best Buy and is it a limited edition thing like with the FRiday the 13th boxset? I don't want to go there and find out I'm screwed. :(
