Any one have a Philips 30" Widescreen TV?

Model # 30PW8402

Can anyone review this for me?
I just bought one, only because the samsung one was sold out.
It is still in the box, and I will keep it if it is a quality TV.
If not I can still return it.

I have a small living room, so I wanted the tube over projection for 2 reasons. 1 being the projections are too big, and 2 I want to be able to view from the sides clearly as well as head on.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I do not have the Philips, but I have an older Samsung model. The picture on sat. is good, but with HD is really good. Granted mine is older, so I do not have DVI, so I'm sure that does not help. Plus, if yours is a generation or two newer then I would imagine the PQ is even better.

Hope that helps.

I'm sure that the Panasonic, Samsung, and Philips are all about equal. (I think Pan has a 30", could be wrong).

I read a review on consumer reports.
It rates this TV the best in its class.

I have the exact model I just picked up from Sears about a month and a half ago. After much shopping and debating I ended up with this one. Just a small history. My girlfriend and I have a fairly expensive wall unit that we are still paying on so the suggestion of a HDTV that would not fit was out of the question. So one of the reasons why I choose it was because of a space issue.
However, after researching direct views in my range and needs I ended up on this one. The main reason was the picture (duh) I thought that it had a great pricture with any of the sources that I put into it. I was real leary of what I would get when I was looking at any source that wasn't progressive or in HD format. I am happy to say that it isn't bad when watching cable that is not broadcasting in HD. Also the DVI connection is also a bonus with this television as well which my cable is presently going through. My final decision to go with this tv was because it had discrete codes for the inputs which made programming macros into my remote alot easier. All in all I am very happy with my decision and I have not had that feeling of maybe I should have gone with X.

Not sure if that is what you were looking for but it sure felt great to share something.

Okay, speaking of Philips 30" Widescreen TV's, I was at Walmart tonight and they had one with HD. I believe it is the PW850H, but damn the picture looked great. The price is $748. I think I just found my new tv. Walmart infomercials never looked so clear!
