Component output for PS2?

I got the Monster Cables at a misprice at Bestbuy. I think they and Sony are the only manufacturers of Component cables for PS2 (unlike the GCN, which is only manufactured by Nintendo and through mail-order).
This may be common knowledge, but be careful how often you plug and unplug the connector going to the PS2. I've been switching between my component cables and composite cables (for a different TV), and now I have to be very careful when putting the components back in. If they're not in just right, the colors are messed up...

Call my crazy, but I think that PS2 games look better on my 27" Wega with the S-Video cable than component. I first bought the component cable but I found it to be a lot of jaggy edges, almost like it was showing to much, I down graded to S video and am very happy with it, and it was cheaper.
Just a thought, why dont you purchase both and that way there you can judge for yourself

If you have HD, no question, you should get component cables.
If you don't, depending on how well you see the differences, component isn't a huge leap up from s-video. But if you only have composite, s-video is a huge leap up from that.
And some games will suffer from higher resolution anyway.
