They are on my Ipod, and I can't remeber where I picked up the songs from, I had always thought they were something to do with the flaming lips, but I guess I just got confused with the Yoshi Battle the Pink Robots cd.

I have their tour split with Xiu Xiu from 2003. I think they are good but not great. If you didn't know, Yancey (who sadly doesn't make many appearances around here anymore) wrote a review of their self-titled record a long while ago. You can find it on Pitchfork.

Been a long time fan of JYPU. A great band. I can't go a few weeks without putting it's winter here in the CD Player of my car. One of my favorite records of all time. I still need to pick up the Xiu Xiu/JYPU split that fallow mentioned. For some reason I keep putting it on the back burner.

Ha! That was my first published piece, Fallow. JYPU can be really great. That first EP (now out of print, I believe) and It's Winter Here are both nice in a dull sorta way. Really nice guys too. I was the first person to cover them!

I wanted to tell you I liked that Dykehouse piece in the Voice. I've been getting tons of emails from promoters saying, "hey! support this!!" but they haven't sent it my way. I might just place an order at the record store.
