A couple questions about The Good, The Bad and the Ugly (Spoilers)

I just picked up this new SE 2 disc DVD, watched it last night, and its great!

Since this is the first time I have watched this movie in about 10 years I have a couple questions.

1.
Spoiler:
How did Angel Eyes initially first find out about the money and how to look for Bill Carson? Did he find out from the guy that was sick in bed, who he eventually killed?

2.
Spoiler:
When heading towards the graveyard, why did Tuco and Blondie "surrender" to the army, and say they wanted to enlist? Also, what was the purpose of taking the time to destroy the bridge?

3.
Spoiler:
When Tuco and Blondie were in the bombed out town fighting Angel Eyes gang, why did Angel Eyes split? I am sure it is because so he could follow them to the graveyard, which probably answers my last question how did Angel Eyes find Tuco and Blondie at the graveyard?

Thanks in advance for the info, sorry its just been soooo many years.

Spoilers

1. He found out from the guy who he killed in the very beginning at the house.

2. They surrenderd becuase they didn't want to get killed. They blew the bridge up becuase it would make the armies leave becuase they were both guarding it and with it gone, Tuco and Blodie could be on their way to the gold.

3. Angel Eyes split becuase he knew he would probably die and he wanted the gold so he needed to follow Blondie. He went to the cemetary becuase Tuco told him where it was when they were beating him up. He knew the cemetary but not the grave.

I love this movie. One of my all-time favorites. I still need to pick up the new SE, though.

It's good that this extended version showed a brief shot of the civil-war battle occuring at night because
Spoiler:
this would explain when and where Blondie emptied Tuco's gun

This was a continuity error in the previous U.S. cut.
