What HD Channels do you get and with who?

I have comcast and the HD Channels I get are :

ESPN
ABC
CBS
PBS
INHD 1
INHD 2
Starz
HBO
Cinemax
Showtime

That is all they offer, should I be ticked ? It just doesn't seem like a lot. I know about Voom, but I have my internet through comcast too.

My local cable provider, Charter, only has a few channels here in Greenville, SC -- an NBC affiliate, HDNet Movies, HDNet, ESPN HD, HBO HD, and Showtime HD.

I've been eyeing Voom, more for their "Monsters" channel than anything else. I was looking at their lineup one week, and in the space of a few days, they were showing Night of the Demons, Troll 2, and The Gate. On Sunday, The Hills Have Eyes, Madman, My Bloody Valentine, The Burning, and Slumber Party Massacre are airing. If they had hired me to program the channel, it probably wouldn't be much different.

No FOX?
There is no such thing as Fox HD yet - there is Fox "widescreen" though, which is 480p. (unless they just started broadcasting HD, and I missed it)

DirecTV here as well (TNT-HD should be added in due course). As far as OTA: only ABC, CBS, and PBS actually broadcast HD in my area. UPN and Fox are both supposed to be up to speed by September.

Edit to add: just read that DirecTV signed with BravoHD as well. (Hopefully to air in time for the olympics )

I don't understand why Comcast offers different channels. I don't get NBC. On their website it says they offer Fox too, just not in my area. Why is that ?

CBS
NBC
FOX
BRAVO
PBS

(note the missing ABC)

InHD
HDOD
HBOHD
ESPN
FOXSports
MSGN
STARZ
ENCore
SHOWTIME
CINEMAX
TMC
and I beleive Playboy also has an HD channel - dont quote me

(Also note the missing DiscoveryHD)

Thats everything you CAN get - as long as you have the standard premium packages, the HD one comes with it - ive disconnected my premium cable packages so all i get at present is the top 5 on my list and HDOD (On Demand) If I feel like paying cable even MORE money to watch a movie - NOT

I believe the contracts are local - not national.
