I don't know about Don and the actual box specs, but the audio is stereo, and NOT mono.

There's apparently a misprint on the box, and the audio isn't just stereo, it's stereo surround even. The review on the Home Theater Forum seems to have made the same mistake.

My bad! I listened to it with my receiver instead of my headphones since the box claimed it to be mono and didn't hear any separation in the channels. I tried it again with my headphones just now and it sounded worse; flatter and with less dynamic range, but there was slightly more stereo separation between the channels from time to time. I'll fix the review-thanks for pointing out my mistake (I see the listing on the IMDB has been corrected too).
