Most Hated:
1. The entire cast of Las Vegas (how dare they disgrace my city, those whores).
2. Frankie of San Diego.
3. David, Julie, and Matt of New Orleans.

5. Puck of San Francisco.

Most Liked:

2. The boys (Teck "Money" Holmes, Matt, and Colin) of Hawaii (2nd best season).
3. Jacquese of San Diego (up there in sanity with Colin).
4. Sean, Elka, and Cyrus of Boston (3rd best season).
5. Kat of London (just because she's so freakin' hot).

Runner-up:
6. Pedro of San Francisco (he gets a 6th place, only because I put Kat at #5).

---

Road Rules

Most Hated:
1. The entire cast of Semester at Sea (worst season EVER).
2. The entire cast of Maximum Velocity (2nd worst season EVER).
3. Piggy of Down Under.
4. Carlos of Season One.
5. Every female involved with The Quest (such ****in' drama queens).

2. Chadwick, Christina, Shayne, and Susie of Down Under.
3. Holly and Josh of Latin America.
4. Allison, Kit, and Mark of Season One.

Best season ever...are you kidding? Cynthia and Flora were two of the biggest witches Real World has ever had. Flora was a funny bitch, I admit, but Cynthia just annoyed me the whole time with her attitude. And Dan was the ultimate diva (nuff said). I liked the others, though, especially Joe, Mike, and Melissa (pretty nice most of the time). The shower sex/Flora breaking out the window episode was a classic, but the overall season isn't in my top three. 1, 3, and 4 are definitely above it for me.

My picks

Real World

Favorites (no real order):
1. Lars "the Belgian dj" (didn't try to start problems like most cast members do, similar to Andre in Season 1...at times they were barely in episodes...trying to get their music careers started i guess...but i just really liked them for some reason)
2. Neil (cool and intelligent...except for when he almost had his tongue bitten off...i still don't know how he let that happen )
3. Rachel
4. Pedro
5. Dominic (tough final pick, i also liked Genesis and Seattle David)

I have to give Puck a special mention. Yes, he was a dick and deserved to get kicked off, but he was also entertaining and blunt in his honesty. He seemed at times like a really cool guy, then something would piss him off and he'd completely change into this annoying twit. I never hated him, and often times I found myself either agreeing with him or just laughing at his obnoxious ways. I hope he never completely mellows.

Worst:
1. Tonya
2. Amaya (pathetic drama queen)
3. Coral (in need of a tranquilizer...seemed ready to attack at all times, even worse on The Gauntlet)
4. Stephen the bitch-slapping diva
5. Cynthia (Kameelah just missed the cut)

Road Rules

Favorites, stretching the rules a bit:
1. The whole cast of 1 (especially Kit, Mark, Shelley and Allison....who's left? oh yeah, Carlos )
2. The cast of 3 (even the temperamental Belou and Antoine...very sad to hear that Michelle died)
3. Dan, Anne, and Noah from Northern Trail
4. Timmy and Christian (the only good things from season 2 in my opinion)
5. Steve and Blair from The Quest

I wanted to include Pawel from Semester at Sea, b/c he seemed like a nice guy, but that season was so horrible in my opinion I'll just make him an honorable mention.

Worst:
1. Veronica and Ayanna from Sem. at Sea
2. Chadwick (annoying p-r-i-c-k...i even hate his name )
3. Ellen
4. Emily (especially crying and bitching all the time over her relationship with Devin in season 2)
5. Abram this guy was a tool in two different seasons

I'm surprised so many people hate Abe... Much the same way I don't understand people hating Veronica. Maybe it's cuz I just don't watch enough. Plus - this list is gonna be incomplete until I can figure it all out - I actually need to see pictures of these people - I'm bad with names. I'll update this later.

I thought this might be fun to do, but looking through the list I don't really have that strong of feelings for or against most of those people. Maybe I'll just do overall casts:

Real World:

Most Hated -

1. Chicago
2. Back to NY
3. Las Vegas
4. I didn't watch Paris, but given the trend, it'd probably wind up here too.

Most Liked -

1. New Orleans
2. Seattle
3. NY
4. San Diego

I haven't watched the last few Road Rules and their casts have never left that much of an impression on me.

Frankie is the most hateful RWer I've seen. Just awful. At least Puck was good TV, even tho he's a terrible person.

I can't give favorite status to boring people like Jamie, however. I prefer Big Rand over her just because she seems intert.

The best seasons for me were NY and San Fran. Miami was also very entertaining (as is the current one)

Thought you might enjoy this. I wrote it some time ago for a thread I never started. I can't really stand by some of my picks now but it's still an interesting read, i think.

Anyway, this is a top 10 list of Real World moments I came up with.

10 "Hi, my name is Julie and I'm from Birmingham, Alabama" - New York

When the first Real World began in 1992 there was no reason to think anything would come of it. MTV had been playing around with non-music shows - games shows, "news" programs - and a documentary about a bunch of twenty-somethings from the greater New York area didn't seem like much of an idea at. Into this mix of NY/NJ cats, however, they threw one token rube: Julie, a 19 year old virgin from Alabama. She quickly became the most popular character on the show and remained that way for years. Her growth as a person over her time in the big city was remarkable and in this first season, which looks both quaint and far more mature compared to later booze-soaked seasons, made her one of the most memorable Real Worlders ever.

9 Puck calls back - San Francisco

Another memorable Real Worlder, San Francisco's Puck was a dirty, rude, unlikeable jerk who did little to ingratiate himself to viewers. His aggressive always-have-the-last-word attitude (coupled with his willingness to berate that season's ailing Pedro) got his ass kicked out of the house. Thanks to MTV's obsession with their anti-hero, however, he continued to get what he craved the most - cameras following him around. At one point he called the house to try to rile up the roommates one last time. But they'd moved on at that point and just laughed him off. Sweet, sweet revenge.

8 Teck and Ruthie arrive - Hawaii

There's been an obsession with nudity among the housemates for a few years now but it's probably never taken as little time for trou to be dropped than in Hawaii when, upon first arriving at the house, rambunctious roomies Teck and Ruthie skinny dip in the pool. Other Real Worlders got their first impressions of the duo in the buff, a light-hearted beginning to a season that didn't always stay that way.

7 "I'm in jail! Pick me up, bitch!" - San Diego

While the current season in San Diego isn't half over yet one early episode deserves a place as one of the strangest in the series' history. During a night of drinking (of course) two cast members end up in jail for separate incidents. Randy's drunken attempts to justify his "man" Brad's incarceration were hilariously incoherent ("We committed no crime... Except livin'!") but nothing was sillier than Brad's jail-house phone call, delivered to an uncaring voice-mail. Jacquese and Randy loved it but Brad still needed to spend the night behind bars.

6 Flora takes a peek - Miami

Hijinks and shenanigans are a big part of the Real World and when housemates suspected tomfoolery in their shower they didn't hesitate to spy through an exterior window. No biggee. Until Flora tried to climb between flimsy glass panes to get a better view. CRACK! CRASH! Flora may have landed back out on her ass, laughing hysterically, but apparently she cut herself pretty badly. Still, it was worth it.

5 The Blanket Incident - Los Angeles

Probably the first "serious" incident on the Real World, David took his self-deprecating stand-up comedian schtick too far when he tried to pull Tami's blanket off her to get a glimpse of her undies. Being playful is one thing but by the time he was literally dragging her down the hall he probably should have gotten a clue that she wasn't playing. The result was David's being the first member kicked out of the house. But it was all worth it for the moment when Beth's head got slammed by the door when Tami finally bolted the room.

4 I HEART you - London

Jilted non-Real World boy- and girl-friends are a fact of life when roommates start fooling around. It probably started in London (there wasn't too much hanky-panky in the early years) when Neil (the Brit punk) and Kat (the wholesome American fencer) shared an innocent flirtation. Neil's real-life girlfriend Kris apparently caught wind of this and sent him a lovely Valentine's day gift: A pig's heart in a box with a nail through it. The message was pretty clear: Don't mess with Kris' man. That pretty much ended things right there in a pretty neat and clean way...

3 Montana gets an earful - Boston

...Although "neat and clean" would not be words you could use to describe Montana's relationship woes in Boston. You see, Montana seemed to think that she and her boyfriend back home had an "open" relationship. When Vaj found out that she'd been sleeping with Matt he unloaded one of the all-time greatest break-up diatribes on her. It went something like this: "WHORE! WHORE! WHORE! WHORE! YOU ARE NOT IN MY LIFE!" Montana didn't take it so good.

2 Pedro and Sean - San Francisco

The Real World has been on the forefront of mainstreaming of gay culture (The first season's Norm was one of the first openly gay people many viewers had ever "met") but little could compare with the saga of Pedro. A young Cuban man dying of AIDS, Pedro did a lot to show housemates and viewers alike both the strengths and difficulties of someone in his condition. But during the course of the show he met and fell for Sean, one of the nicest Real World hangers-on ever. When they held an intimate commitment ceremony in the Real World house late in the season there wasn't a dry eye among the roommates. That Pedro didn't live long enough to see current legal and social struggles on exactly this subject is sad but his message was clear.

1 Julie and Kevin take it to the street - New York

There had been a couple of near-arguments in earlier episodes but in the homestretch of the first season Julie and Kevin (who coined the Real World angry black man character) took their gripes outside for an extended and heated debate on all things race in America. They couldn't see eye to eye and they wouldn't back down. Kevin got in Julie's face. Julie stood her ground. This was before the Real World turned into a drunken orgy and it's shocking to see how "real" the first season's cast was. The show had a mission: It was an experiment to see if people could grow to understand each other a little better by being crammed together in a small space. While the first season's cast was often busy living their own lives too (the age range was much greater than it would be today and they weren't forced to do stupid missions and jobs for the show; it was much more like a legit documentary) so when they got into it they were talking for real. While the show has more or less remained entertaining it has pretty much dumbed itself down and Julie and Kevin, by being stubborn and opinionated and thoughtful and angry, set an early high for tension and drama that has never quite been matched.

Hell yes. New Orleans was probably my favorite season, too.

Road Rules has been better than RW for years and the best RR's cast was The Northern Trail w/ Dan, Tara, Noah and Co.

Absolutely. She's one of the few women that I wouldn't feel bad hitting.
