Coupling S4 premiere in US, 6/6
Just a reminder before the weekend starts. S4 premieres on BBC America at 9 pm Sunday. There are plenty of rebroadcasts for those who miss it (since it does conflict with Sopranos).
Good interview with Jack Davenport (Steve) here:

My only question about this show is why the F do they only do like 10 episodes and then wait like a friggin year and a half to do the next season. Do they not have regular TV schedules like we do in the US?

British television is different. They have very short seasons for their shows. I don't mind - I prefer quality over quantity.

There was of course, a longer than usual hiatus between seasons 3 and 4 because of the American show and to a lesser extent contract negotiations.
The new guy has a very minor role. So small you can't love him or hate him, only wonder why they bothered to put him there when the plots revolve just fine around the original 5.

I just finished watching Season 3 (thanks DVD).
It's going to be hard to watch an episode of Coupling without Richard Coyle. I was in tears whenever he showed up during Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps.

Yeah, Jeff can't be replaced. I think they should have just stuck with the 5 of them for a while, then work in a new character slowly, as Jane/Sally's new boyfriend or brother or something.

The Season 4 premiere will be on here in an hour and a half. I can't wait!!
I'm sorry Jeff is gone, but I'd rather it be him than any of the other characters. Especially Jane, who's my favorite.
Whatever they come up with, I'm sure it'll be brilliant, as always.

No Jeff =
It was a pretty good episode, though.

No Jeff =
Oliver getting punched in the face by Sally, getting shot down by various bar hoppers, getting told to "screw off" by Susan, and watching his date kiss another girl =
Jeff and Steve's phone conversation = (Jeff going to Lesbos looking for lesbians, hyuk).
Good opener even if the first segment with Patrick and Sally was a little bit on the weak side.

Sad that there was no Jeff, but his presense was still felt with the confusion over the Island of Lesbos.
Otherwise, a slow start, but a very funny episode capped off by the greatest kiss I have ever witnessed on non-premium television (oh and it is a good thing that the US version was cancelled because they could have never done that kiss justice in this anal retentive country).
