So i've been looking forward to this game for a month or so now and i go to ebgames to reserve it (i had assumed since it is an offbeat puzzle game they wouldn't get any in unless someone reserved it). They had a hard time finding it in the computer but eventually did - it didn't list a release date though. So i look online for it on both gamestop.com and ebgames.com and neither have it listed for the xbox. The official website however has the xbox logo on it which would make me think it was indeed still coming.

So, in essence, has anyone heard anything on this title for the xbox? I'll be suprememly bummed if it was canceled or somesuch.

It's out in Japan.. and it WAS going to come out here.. but I think Nintendo nabbed exclusive for US, or Sega just didn't think it'd be profitable on PS2/Xbox.. I'm not sure which.

Looks like it's GameCube only for the time being with a 7/20/2004 release date.

What trips me out about that though is the official puyo pop website lists ps2 and xbox as well.

So bummed now, going to be having surgery as soon as school lets out and this is what i was looking forward to playing during recovery. Hrm, now i have to find a new game.

Is this supposed to play more like Puyo Puyo Sun or Puyo Puyo 4? I loved the suns, but didn't much care for the damn special move system.

Not sure.. but yeah.. Puyo Puyo 4 was a HUUUGE let down.. and after all the time I spent hunting down the Dreamcast version back in the day. I love the graphic style of Fever though.

I've never played a puyo game before but the series was favorably compared to my favourite puzzle game of all time: Puzzle Fighter.
