need some advice on what to get, im mostly looking for recent movies, not 'classics' or things like that. here is a current list of what i have....

T2: Ultimate Edition and Matrix are crucial, although Matrix will definitely be rereleased eventually.
Also Monsters, Inc. and Finding Nemo would be good additions.

Collections should be made up of films that you personally love/want to see multiple times. Everyone can list films that mean something to them that you may enjoy but that is no guarantee they will be something you want to own.

Do you blind buy, rent, other? Basically just watch the movies that interest you and then explore who wrote, directed, starred in them and before you know it you will come across more films to see then time to do so.

You can start with some of the top lists at IMDb, check out review sites and search by what they rated them. The two links in my signature can be used to rate movies you've seen and provide ideas for other movies you may enjoy.
