50 Cents' "In Da Club" ringtone is the first to go PLATINUM!
I was listening to NPR yesterday and they were talking about digital music downloads and the topic of ringtones came up and the guest said that artists and their recording companies get residuals for ringtone downloads.
He then said that 50 Cent's "In Da Club" was the first one to go Platinum (1 million units).
Thought that was kind of funny.

Wow...
Ringtones are big business--I read that AT&T Wireless, I think, made $60 million off ringtones last year [don't recall if that was sales, profit, or what, but still.]

Or, you could just find a free site with tons of midi files and send them to your phone via bluetooth

I like the feature combined with free wap service and the ability to change the wallpaper for free made my phone a great deal for me.
