I haven't followed this that much as I rarely watched either, but will this be on DirectTV? TechTV was, but G4 wasn't obviously, as it was owned by Comcast. Given that Comcast bought Tech out I was curious.

So did they rehire anyone? I know they let everyone from TechTV go, but they were going to rehire some of them with new contracts. Or is there just no Screensavers today?

Screensavers will be on today that is one of the shows they moved over to G4Techtv. For now Leo said they rehired Cat,Kevin,& Jessica. As for the rest I don't know unless they will be willing to relocate to LA. I do understand the San Fran offices will be kept open for awhile more so they can keep broadcasting Screensavers from there until the move is complete.

Sounds like The Screen Savers will be one of the few shows that won't be about video games. Most of the other shows are.

G4 sucks ass. I hope they bring back thescreensavers.com website - there was a lot of good resources on there that I would hate to lose.

Saw a show on the history of Atari. It was pretty good.

Saw a show on the history of Final Fantasy. It was incredibly lame.

Also, the videogame review show was giving out cheat codes. I've seen TechTV do this, but rarely (or maybe it was back in the ZDTV days.)

I liked TechTV, but I'm really sick of Future Fighting Machines and Robot Wars.

Also, I don't think I've seen cheat codes on a game review show. Pretty much the only show that really reviews games on g4 is Judgement Day. There is a show that's nothing but cheat codes and hints, that's called Cheat.

i read on some message board that Cat, Roger, Adam, Morgan, are definetly making the move, Kevin and Sarah are seriously considering it, and Leo, Pat and Yoshi are most likely not gonna go to the new network.

i guess we'll know for sure when they officially move all filming to LA.

I haven't seen a single episode of the Screen Savers since Leo left, but I recorded tonights episode because I was curious what effect the new network would have on the show. I watched it for about two minutes before that ungodly logo drove me batty.

I sincerely hope G4 never had anything even close to that for their entire run. What moron decided a big, BRIGHT orange and black logo at the TOP right side of the screen was a good idea? There is a barely noticable level of transparency, so small they shouldn't have even bothered.

Even worse, I decided to switch from my recorded TSS to what was playing currently to see if that logo was for real all the time. After watching the show "Pulse" for about 15 minutes, I have no idea what the show is about and don't care to ever watch it again. It was like watching some bizarre train wreck. All I got out of it was a show about obscure video games music, but there is just no way that anyone would produce a multi-episode 30 minute show on that... Right?

And the advertising... Call me a good old fashioned puritan, but come on... I'm on the East Coast, and it's 10:45. Unless the merger changed things, people on the West Coast are seeing the same thing at 7:45. I don't think a Trojan Condom commercial is appropriate for this network even at 10:45, much less at 7:45. Excluding the Unscrewed audience/demographic, my mouth would still be open if I saw such an ad on TechTV at any hour. Computer geeks & condom commercials ain't a real good mix.

God, take me back to the days of Kate and Leo broadcasting from the dungeon on ZDTV. Money Machine and Internet Tonight, how I miss thee. The days when the audience of ZDTV was a tight community, with almost anyone that wanted on receiving a free Netcam. Hell, they even aired a couple commercials I made for their Netcam Weeks with the Netcam they gave me. May this sad immitation of a network with the most annoying logo since SpikeTV squish-o-vision die a very fast death. Long live ZDTV.

And in regards to Morgan, as the old saying goes... If thinking Morgan is quite attractive is wrong, I don't wanna be right.
