Disney Treasures "Tomorrowland"

Excuse me if this has been discussed before, but what is the story on "Tomorrowland". I got mine, but many places don't carry it and it was not listed on the Disney website. What gives?

Only 105,000 copies were released, so many retails might have already sold out by now.

Mine did not have the numbered, limited edition COA, nor did it have the limited edition sticker on the front.

Strange that this should be so limited. I would think it has great crossover appeal to sci-fi fans, many of whom seem avid DVD collectors.

Still have copies at the Wal*Mart by me. In fact, seems like none of the new Disney Treasures are big sellers there.

I saw the first disc of Tomorrowland. Kinda interesting in some ways, but generally it kinda sucks

I predict that 6 months from now it’ll be the easiest to find in this wave.

Just bought all 4 at Wal-Mart, and the shelfs were stuffed with at least 10 copies of each. Sell out fears appear to be a local phenomenon at this point.

One reason, as stated previously, is "sell out fears". People buying it because they don't want to be left out.

Another reason, it's a great set in its own right. Up to this point I have had no desire to purchase any of the Disney treasures, but after reading the reviews, I went out and bought it. It is an absolutely wonderful set and worthy of all the glowing praises it has received. It has sparked my interest in picking up the other non-animated sets.

I have to say of all the recent releases, Tomorrowland is my favorite. It really captures the time period of the mid-to-late 50s very well and it is amazing how dead-on Disney was in its scientific predictions (of course, they were advised by great scientists at the time).

The Ray Bradbury interview on disc 2 is quite nice too.

I've only watched Disc 1 so far - it was great! I always find it fascinating to look back at how the future was depicted, particularly with regards to space exploration. Very pleased with the purchase!

There are still copies out there of Tomorrowland. You just have to look around a bit. My local Navy Exchange had tons of copies of Tomorrowland as well as Donald, Mickey, and On the Front Lines. They even had one 'Behind the Scenes at the Walt Disney Studio' which was odd. I thought that one was long gone by now.

Seems as if the online retailers are the one's currently sold out. And due to the limited pressings, the B&M's will likely be sold out soon as well. Of the many local stores I've been lately, I've only seen one copy on the shelf at Suncoast.
