Another Disney Treasure question

When they say theres 150,000 made is that tins or dvds? Do the dvds in the sets sold by Costco count as part of the 150,000 or is there 150,000 tins plus however many sets from Costco? Long story short is there 150,000 tins or 150,000 DVD sets.

The Costco ones are those with damaged tins that got seperated and put together as a set.

I never thought this was anything more than a rumor.

But what about all the dented ones I see at Best Buy or shipped out via Amazon?

Maybe it is. I could be wrong. Though it's the most logical explanation.

Maybe the ones currently at BB or Amazon will end up as a future set if no one buys them?

The numbering is purely the tins (125,000 for Wave 2, 150,000 for Wave 1). It is speculation that the Costco packs are damaged tins. Costco printed 10,500 of the boxsets (no tin, and all the discs are individually sealed). Hope this helps.

This last bunch had a lot more dents than the previous two. I checked mine carefully, but still got several dents on my "Donald"...hidden underneath the blue banner.

It is only the tins which are limited. It is only a rumor that the Costco copies were from dented tins. In fact, this is almost certainly untrue, as they did not contain the insert poster cards which came with the tins.

They could have removed them when they packaged them.

However, I agree, the most likely explination is that is was a limited special run for Costco.

Why remove them? I think they were a special run for Costco as well. Why else was Costco the only retailer selling them?

Damn! All the tins from my local Costco that came out last week were all gone. Should have gone there last week.

Sam's Club has the lowest price I have seen, $20.56. That is where I bought mine.

Same here. Bought all 4 at Sam's and the price was right. 3 of the 4 tins were pristine with one having a slight dent in the upper corner of the back of the tin.
