Unfortunately my BB hasn't had any of these games for months. It's not even worth the drive over there to check it out.

For those who don't know, you can use bestbuy.com to check in-store availability. Add everything you want to your cart and then select the nearest store. Those stores that are out of stock will be marked out. Save some gas.

10 hours late for what? These list is of IN STORE games, not at the best buy website. It's still worth checking out. I went to 5 Best Buys today. 3 of them still had a good selection of $4.99 games. You'll never know unless you get up and check for yourself, instead of assuming your store is already sold out. Today is their clearance day, so most of these just hit the $4.99 price today. I was able to pick up Warioworld, Metal Arms (Xbx), Monster Rancher 4, RE Dead Aim, Headhunter, Winning Eleven 6 and a lot more (spent about $200). There was still a good selection when I left the Scottsdale AZ/Indian Bend store, and the Chandler AZ/Ray Rd store.

This is not always 100% reliable.
I was looking for a while for that $90 DirecTIVO that was sold out everywhere. The online status showed two at each of two local stores. Since I was disabled at the time, I let my wife go to each. None available. I had my wife argue that their online status shows they have some. They said something like the inventory online does not distinguish what's reserved. They also said that I could order online and pick it up there? Just a head's up...

Best Buy game sale

The prices posted all seem to be coorect. I work in the viedo game department at Best Buy and helped change the prices today. However, most Bet Buys have very few if any of the titles. I actually searched my entire district (california area) and non of the games of interest were in stock any where. But good luck to anyone who tries to get them.

That's funny.

Anyway, I managed to get about 12-15 titles off that list today. There were a couple that I really wanted but couldn't find (Wario World and Wario Ware), but I'm pretty happy with my haul.

I'm a cheapskate... I'll take the diddly...

Could you pick me up some? I'll pay shipping and gas...

(The Circuit City deal like this was a lot more lucrative)

Picked up the few my little store still carried :
Disney Skating $4.99 (PS2)
WW Raw $4.99 (Xbox)

They also had that Robotech game, but I wasn't really interested.
They had one copy of TMB (the GH version that included TMB Online), I don't know if it would ring up at $4.99 since I already own that title, but the PH Raw did, so I wouldn't be suprised.

BTW They had most of those $9.99 PS2 titles like Winning Eleven 6 in stock, as well as many not listed (like Sphinx & the Mummy).

Thanks to the OP for this info. Wish I could have picked up a Metal Arms or a Freedom Fighters, but this was definately better than nothing!

It's for both.

And there are a lot of people that read websites like CAG. Most order through bestbuy.com and set it for in-store pickup. Some go by on their lunch hour. Either way, bestbuy.com said the games I tried were all sold out at my local store.

Well, for grins I went to my other BB, but all they had was something called Smash Cars. I have no idea if it's any good, but I picked it up for now. Off to check reviews at Metacritic...

Not much worthwhile at my BB, but I did manage to get Wario World, which they surprisingly had the most of. I was hoping for Wario Ware as well, but oh well. They had many of the titles at a table up front, although a few of the titles had not been pulled from the shelves yet.

I'm trying to weigh in the cost of gas for trying to find some of these versus saying to hell with it, at least I was until I saw Parappa the Rapper 2 was on the list, guess i'm blowing some gas tomorrow.

I'm probably shooting myself in the foot; ah most of you aren't in FL. It is probably worth it to pick up every single clearance game you can find whether or not you want it as you can always sell it or trade it in at EB or gamestop. At the very least you can trade five in for a preorder which comes to about ten bucks a game.

I just got back from my Best Buy here in Grand Rapids and they didn't have any of the ones I wanted. I wanted Beyond Good and Evil, I-Ninja, and NCAA Football 2004 for Gamecube and Golden Sun: Lost Age and Wario Ware Inc for GBA. Oh well.

I just spent ten minutes on bb.com and they didn't even have most of the games on the site. And my local store (Downers Grove, Chicago burb) didn't have any of the games marked down (if they had them at all) and the guy I asked said other people had been in about this, but they had no knowledge of anything.

Is there a list of stores that are doing this?
